Kylie Jenner is leaving the age of 18 behind.
And apparently embracing the next year of her life in fiery fashion.
On the eve of her birthday late Tuesday night, Kylie took to Instagram and surprised fans with a selfie.
On its own, of course, this is pretty much the least surprising thing one will ever see on the Internet.
At this point, as you can see below, Kylie Jenner is more known for snapping selfies than half-sister Kim Kardashian is for banging Ray J on video.
So, what made this Kylie Jenner selfie different?
The hair color and hairstyle being rocked by the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star in it.
Ready to be blown away? And perhaps a little bit frightened? Don’t say we didn’t warn you…
Yikes? Or: Well done, Kylie?
Merely captioning her photo with a red heart, Jenner left fans to wonder where this dye job was real or the work of a wig.
Back in August 2015, remember, Kylie proved she can pull off being a red head when she shared a Photoshopped image of herself on social media.
This may not be a permanent change, but Jenner clearly thinks enough of it to show it off to her millions and millions of followers.
We tend to think this is just a wig, however, due to some further investigating of the World Wide Web.
Jenner’s usual “wig guy,” Tokyo Stylez, shared the same flame-colored snapshpt on Instagram Tuesday writing as a caption to the image:
“#touchedbytokyo.”
We’re not sure what that means. But it does imply that Kylie is just wigging out in this case.
Still, it’s very much like one of the Kardashians or Jenners to experiment with a different look, even if it’s not completely real.

In a recent post on her official app, Kylie said that changing up her hair color has kind of an “addiction” since she first dyed her locks at age 16.
“It makes me feel like a new person. I love feeling different and I love leaving the house knowing that nobody has ever seen me this way,” she wrote.
“It’s hard for me to go back to different styles I’ve worn before; I don’t always like my normal short, black hair.
“That look makes me feel like I’m going back in time. It’s like I’m going back to that moment a year ago and I just don’t want be in that space.”
