Mackenzie Standifer: Risking Custody By Putting Son on Teen Mom OG?!

It’s been seven months since Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer’s first wedding, and there’s been no shortage of drama in the early days of their marriage.

(Case in point: Ryan and Mackenzie had to have a second wedding because he was so high for the first one that he passed out on the way to the church.)

Mackenzie once threatened to quit Teen Mom OG due to the constant criticism from fans on social media.

But like everyone else on the show, she keeps coming back for more punishment.

(Imagine you’re making six figures, and your biggest complaint about your job is that you have more Twitter haters than most people. Now it all makes sense, right?)

In fact, Mackenzie has basically doubled down on her commitment to the series.

These days, she’s not only featured on TMOG herself, she also has her son from a previous marriage appearing on the show.

And not surprisingly, Mackenzie’s baby daddy is less than thrilled with that development.

According to Radar Online, Hudson’s father, Zach Stephens, never agreed to allow his son to be on the show, and now, he’s doing everything he can to strip his son of custody rights.

“He’s not supposed to be on the show,” a source close to Mackenzie’s baby daddy Zach Stephens told Radar.

“She exploits her son for a paycheck.”

“She never has Hudson,” an insider told Radar.

“It’s her mom, Ryan’s mom Jen or Zach watching him. Zach doesn’t feel with her is where Hudson needs to be.”

The insider adds that Stephens “wants to take Hudson from [Mackenzie]” and plans to use footage shot by TMOG camera crews as evidence of abuse.

Stephens says that Hudson  “can’t stand being there” when his mother is filming.

He also claims that Mackenzie regularly neglects her parental duties in order to focus on filming.

“She never has Hudson,” an insider told Radar.

“It’s her mom, Ryan’s mom Jen or Zach watching him. Zach doesn’t feel with her is where Hudson needs to be.”

Mackenzie responded to the claims in an interview with Radar.

She insists that her son actually enjoys his time on camera and appears on the show of his own volition.

“He hasn’t even made a dime so clearly he’s not on there for a paycheck,”

Well, most 4-year-olds aren’t overly focused on their bank accounts, so we suppose that’s not a big surprise.

Mackenzie’s story checks out, folks! Call off the investigation!

Abby Lee Miller: Getting Out of Prison THIS Month?!

Recently, we got a rare glimpse of Abby Lee Miller in prison. She was smiling brightly, appears to have lost some weight, and was surrounded by a few Dance Moms stars who were willing to visit her.

Abby Lee Miller is claiming that she’s a totally changed woman. Changed for the better, to be clear. With new plans for when she gets out.

She’s also hinting at the chance of an early release date. If that happens, she could get out soon. As in, this month.

Last year, Abby Lee Miller was sentenced to spend a year and a day in prison. That’s 366 days, folks, because the courts don’t let you wriggle out of fraud charges just because you’re on a reality show.

(The Giudices could tell you that much)

She is spending her sentence in Victorville, California, which is a not-very-far drive from her home. Even for a nonviolent offender, that strikes some people as incredibly lenient for a woman who was convicted on the opposite side of the country.

Her Instagram account continues to update with posts (though most are innocuous and, though inmates are often allowed time online, a lot of older celebrities have professionals who run their social media).

One new photo, however, caught people’s attention.

That’s Abby in prison, folks.

If she looks thinner, don’t worry that Abby Lee Miller is starving without her gourmet food. She got gastric sleeve surgery shortly before reporting to prison last July, so the weight loss was expected.

In the now-deleted captions of her now-deleted post, Abby wrote:

“Sometimes in life you make mistakes. I trusted the wrong people and didn’t pay any attention to things I should of. I’m more than sorry for the mistakes I have made.”

In other words, she’s still only taking half-responsibility for what got her put in prison.

“My world flipped upside down when I had to enter prison. I did so with grace, the stories you read about me [being] a princess are untrue.”

She goes on to discuss how prison is really fun, actually.

“I have made friends with both inmates and staff, I’ve tried to better myself, participated in anything offered to me, and I am a better person for this experience.”

We’ll get to that line in a moment.

“All the press stories and speculation are not entirely correct however,”

Didn’t she just say that part? And then she hints at early release:

“I am feeling hopeful but no dates have been confirmed at this time.”

Finally, Abby writes:

“I am feeling great and ready to turn over a new leaf. thank you so much to everyone for your support especially my nearest and dearest I love you all (and yes this is me in prison).”

It’s great to hear that she’s a better person for this experience, though prison often has the opposite effect.

Then again, Abby Lee Miller became famous for traumatizing young girls on camera for a living. Some would point out that you can only go up from there.

Many people feel torn between sympathy and schadenfreude when it comes to Abby Lee Miller’s plight, but it’s always good to hear that someone is learning from an experience in order to become a better person.

So, you noticed how Abby was dropping that little nugget about early release while saying that nothing has been confirmed?

Entertainment Tonight reports that Abby Lee Miller may be released as early as February 20th. That’s this month. That’s less than three weeks, and significantly shy of July of 2018.

Still, nothing’s confirmed, and early release is never guaranteed.

Abby is reportedly eager to use her freedom to concentrate on her health, contemplating plastic surgeries and devoting more hours to “me time.”

We have to say that I’ll spend less time “helping” children and more time on myself isn’t what people usually say to convince people that they’ve changed for the better.

But most people aren’t Abby Lee Miller.
