Permanent runner-up Clay Aiken isn’t taking the back seat any longer!
That’s because the American Idol-turned-politician is lashing out at the woman who beat him for that North Carolina Congress seat.
While interviewing with Howard Stern on Monday, the Celebrity Apprentice contestant referred to his opponent Rep. Renee Elmers as a b*tch, saying:
“She’s an idiot, and I think her self-esteem is just in the floor, under the floor.
I’m not a fan of the person I ran against in Congress, obviously.”
The 36-year-old openly gay father was on the radio show to promote his new Esquire docu-series The Runner-Up, where he was pretty blunt about losing the race.
Clay’s words may have been a tad harsh, but Renee, a republican who touts her ‘family values’ regularly, has been endorsed by Sarah Palin several times, so take that as you will…

While people are upset that Clay spoke so derogatorily towards a woman, we think this is more an issue of him disagreeing with her conservative stance, and less of a sexist act.
People always say they want more honest politicians, and when they get it, they just complain.
We guess Clay Aiken just can’t win.
