Jay Z is many things, but avid Twitterer isn’t one of them.
That changed on Sunday afternoon after the Holy Grail rapper prepared the Twitterverse for a “stream of consciousness coming,” counting down to an inevitable Twitter rant of #TidalFacts.
Even without the hashtag, it’s obvious why the music mogul is speaking out for his company Tidal. The rapper’s streaming service is getting washed over by waves of criticism from regular users to fellow artists.
After all the negative press, Tidal has plummeted out of the Top 500 most-downloaded apps, while competitors Pandora and Spotify are at an all time high.
So, the rapper took to the interwebs to remind everyone that Rome (aka iTunes) wasn’t built in a day, and he’s in it for the long haul!
Ch-ch-check out Jay’s defense in the Twitter rant (below):
Tidal is doing just fine. We have over 770,000 subs. We have been in business less than one month. #TidalFacts
