Remember how the Kardashian family was supposed to have gotten over all their issues with Blac Chyna, how they had a hard time getting used to her being with Rob Kardashian at first, but they put aside their negative nonsense to support him?
Yeah, apparently that’s not really a thing anymore.
And this new little development is just downright nasty.
Because even though Chyna gave birth to the astoundingly precious baby Dream last month, and even though Rob is very obviously the happiest he’s ever been, that’s just not enough for Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe.
No, they have to insist on being the rudest, cattiest, shadiest people that ever were and ever will be.
What a crying shame.
OK, so earlier this year, after Rob proposed, Chyna started filing some legal documents so she could trademark her married name.
While we know her as Blac Chyna, her legal name is Angela Renee White. So after she and Rob marry, she’ll change her name to Angela Renee Kardashian.
As you surely know if you’ve been aware in the world for at least ten seconds, it’s an extremely popular tradition for women to change their last names when they get married.
It’s also tradition for a Kardashian to trademark anything she can possibly think of that might potentially aid her in making money.
So really, by trademarking her future name, Chyna’s really becoming a true member of the family, right?
Wrong!
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the Kardashian girls have teamed up to take Chyna down.
Their companies are opposing Chyna’s move to trademark the Angela Renee Kardashian name, because — wait for it! — if Chyna becomes a Kardashian, then the original Kardashians will “suffer damage including irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill.”
So that’s cold as hell, right?
The documents also claim that Chyna is “deliberately seeking to profit from the goodwill and popularity” of the family name, so you know they’re not playing.
It’s just sad because if Blac Chyna marries Rob, then she will, if she chooses, become a Kardashian, just as millions upon millions upon millions of married couples have become part of each other’s families.
She would definitely be entitled to the Kardashian name, obviously. And if she wants to trademark her own name … it’s her name.
How would the Three Witches over here possibly be able to stop that?
It’s just a needlessly mean move, and if we were the type to think even remotely highly of the Kardashians, then boy, that opinion would get mighty low after this.
As it were … well, you can’t really get any lower the bottom.
