Danielle Bregoli and her mother are being investigated over the now-infamous video that seems to show the gruesome twosome brawling.
Or, more accurately, Barbara whomping her daughter’s ass.
The “Cash Me Ousside” girl, who just turned 14, was only 11 in the above video, depicting her in a physical altercation with her mom.
TMZ released the video last month and now police in Boynton Beach, Fla., say that they’re aware of the footage and are investigating.
As for how and why they’re getting involved in this now?
Someone must have a complaint against Barbara because when the video went viral, because initially, the police took a hands-off approach.
Law enforcement sources said they would not look into the matter unless they were specifically contacted about it by a complainant.
Here we are, so it seems safe to infer that occurred.
Officials from the Department of Children and Family Services will likely be involved soon, as the welfare of a child is the issue at hand.
After the clip hit the Internet, Danielle insisted it was NBD and basically just horseplay that goes on sometimes between parents and kids.
“Me and my mother are not fighting on the floor. We are play fighting,” Bregoli said. “My ex-best friend took it to a whole other level.”
“It wasn’t what it was at all. We were play fighting on the floor and I hit her too hard and she kind of pushed me on the floor.”
“That’s all that happened. People need to take their head out of shit they shouldn’t have their head in. My mother is not abusive.”
“She doesn’t abuse me. I love my mother.”
Suffice it to say, police aren’t buying it.
Earlier this year, Danielle and Barbara got a lifetime ban from an airline after punching a fellow passenger who she said pushed her mom.
Was that play-fighting too? Just curious.
In the video, Barbara pins her pre-teen daughter down, strikes her multiple times, calls her a bitch, slams her head on a tile floor and more.
It also depicted mother screaming at daughter in a way no parent should ever scream at a kid, and even made us feel sympathy for Bregoli.
That speaks volumes right there.
This is, after all, a girl who rose to fame after appearing in an interview with Dr. Phil that made her a quasi-celebrity and will live in infamy.
The segment: “I Want to Give Up My Car-Stealing, Knife-Wielding, Twerking 13-Year-Old Daughter Who Tried to Frame Me for a Crime.”
Yes, that sums it up pretty nicely.
It was during this depressing interview that DB uttered her immortal line, which has now become her catchphrase and claim to fame:
“Cash me outside, howbow dah?”
Translation: I will beat your ass.
We’ll have to see if Barbara ends up cashing a criminal charge for that time she beat up her daughter and her friend filmed the fracas.
As for what kind of friend keeps their phone trained on an incident like this with hopes of sharing it one day, rather than breaking it up?
We’d say that there’s a special place in you-know-where reserved for that caliber of person, but that’s a discussion for another time.
