Taylor Swift: Support for Donald Trump Finally Revealed?!

So as you may remember, last fall was a pretty wild time for us here in the good ol’ U.S.A.

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton engaged in an epic battle to win the title of president, and Trump somehow managed to win, shoving the country into the Dark Times.

In the months leading up to the election, countless celebrities took the time to campaign for their ideal nominee, or at least to make a shout-out on social media.

Since it was such a divisive election, these celebrities expressed that they felt it was their duty to speak out in support of what they felt was right.

But one major pop star was quiet as a mouse … and that pop star was Taylor Swift.

While everyone else was tweeting up a storm or getting out on the campaign trail, Taylor neglected to say a single word against or in favor of either Hillary or Trump.

It actually became a pretty big deal, and many of her fans urged her to speak out on things, but she refused.

She did make a post on Election Day about the importance of voting, but still, she neglected to suggest who people should vote for.

And in the months since the election, she’s failed to make a single statement about anything political, save for a tweet in support of the Women’s March back in the spring.

And honestly, all this is fine. Taylor is a pop star, it’s not like she’s obligated to get into these kinds of subjects.

But to many people, her silence indicated one thing: she actually voted for Trump, and she knew she’d get an unbearable amount of backlash for admitting it.

After all, is there another reason for her to stay so quiet? Other popular singers — Katy Perry, for instance — went hard for Hillary, and they were applauded for it.

And since this has been a theory for several months now, you’d think she’d deny it if it wasn’t true, right?

Not so much, according to one of her besties, Todrick Hall.

In a new interview, Todrick, who appeared in her incredible “Look What You Made Me Do” music video, said “Taylor has never to my knowledge come out and said anything about her being pro-Trump.”

“But people would still rather believe that she is the one who is pushing Trump’s agenda.”

He said that after the video was released, people began tweeting him things like “So are you made that you think she might support Donald Trump?”

And that, he said, he didn’t really understand.

“I’ve never felt like there was ever a moment that I couldn’t be myself, and talk about the fact that I’m gay or whatever,” he said.

“At Thanksgiving, we all sat around and talked about it, and there was another one of her friends there who was African-American, and we all sat down and talked about racism and watched 13th on Netflix and talked about how important it was.”

Yeah, that doesn’t really sound like a Thanksgiving a pro-Trump person would throw, huh?

Todrick said that “Maybe one day, Taylor will start being super-political, and using her voice to do the things that people think that she should be doing.”

“But even then, she will probably be ridiculed for not being vocal enough, or not being on the right side.”

Wisely, he said that “I don’t think that there is a way to win in this industry, so every person has to take their own journey at their own pace, at their own time, and do what they feel is right.”

And it sounds like that’s exactly what Taylor is doing.
