As you may have heard, Scott Disick is dating Sofia Richie, which is gross and weird for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that Scott is a 34-year-old father of three and Sofia ia barely out of high school.
The relationship is also disturbing because it comes at a time in which Disick is at rock bottom following a self-destructive binge that nearly claimed his life.
Yesterday, we learned that the Kardashians have cut professional ties with Disick as a result of his relationship with Richie.
Now, it seems that one member of the famous clan is taking things a step further and cutting Scott out of her life entirely.
According to Radar Online, the mother of Scott’s children has informed him that he won’t be permitted to have contact with his kids as long as he’s involved in a relationship with Richie.
“Kourtney told Scott that he is a cradle robber and she thinks it is absolutely disgusting that he is going after a teenager,” a source tells the site.
Scott was apparently quick to clap back, but his argument is quite lame, to say the least:
“Scott told her that she really has no room to talk because she is the one who started dating younger, not him,” says the insider.
Obviously, Scott is referring to Kourtney’s relationship with Younes Bendjima, but the situations are different for a number of reasons.
For starters, Younes is 24, not 19.
While the age difference in the two relationships is roughly the same, you don’t need to be an expert in developmental psychology to know that a great deal of maturation takes place between the ages of 19 and 24.
On top of that, Kourtney is not the one who started dating “dating young,” as Scott spent most of the past year in the company of much younger women.
In the past three months alone, there have been reports of Disick hooking up with Bella Thorne (19), and spending a good deal of time with Madison Beer (18), and Suede Brooks (16).
Most importantly, the situations are different because Kourtney is holding all the cards.
The relationship with Sofia isn’t the only reason Kourtney doesn’t want him around her kids, it’s just the most recent, and any family court judge in America would take her side.
“Things between Scott and Kourtney are just really nasty right now and his relationship with Sofia is just making her so upset,” says the insider.
“She is really bothered by this, and she does not want the kids around him and Sofia.”
The insider theorizes that Scott and Sofia are hooking up largely in order to get under Kourtney’s skin.
Disick’s motives are obvious, while Sofia is reportedly still angry about Kourtney hooking up with Justin Bieber, whom Richie briefly dated earlier this year.
“It is so obvious to everyone that Scott and Sofia are just using each other to get back at Kourtney,” says the source.
“Sofia’s motivation is obviously Bieber, and Scott is just so jealous of Younes.”
Sounds like a healthy situation for everyone involved.
