Spice Girls to Perform at Prince Harry-Meghan Markle Wedding!

What could possibly be better than a royal wedding?

Okay, the list of answers to that question is actually incredibly long and includes everything from Flamin’ Hot Cheetos to reruns of Roseanne.

But we’re here to talk about one very specific thing that’s better than a royal wedding – and that’s a royal wedding that features a performance from the Spice Girls.

Yes, according to none other than Mel B, after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exchange vows in May, they’ll be serenaded by Britain’s favorite pop group behind those shaggy-headed dudes who sang that song about the Walrus.

Mel reluctantly made the announcement while appearing on daytime talk show The Real this morning.

Hosts Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love and Jeannie Mai questioned Mel on whether or not she’s been invited to the wedding, and she eventually broke down and silently mouthed the word “going.”

The crowd lost its mind, and Mel admitted that she may have been a bit too forthcoming.

“I don’t know if I should have said that live on camera, but…” she joked.

When the trio of hosts pressed Mel for further information about the event, she confessed that her former bandmates would also be in attendance.

Asked if she received a formal invitation, Mel clarified:

“Well, it was the five Spice Girls. Why am I so honest?”

Mel drew the line, however, at providing a physical description of the royal invite.

“See, now that’s getting too personal if I actually describe it.” Mel B said, adding it was a “proper” invite. “I’m not saying any more!”

Then came the biggest revelation of all:

Asked if she performing at the ceremony, Mel simply shook her head, laughed, and threw her notecards in the air.

That’s British for “yes, but if I say it out loud, the Queen might have me beheaded.”

For the time being Mel’s not saying anything more, and in general details about Harry and Meghan’s wedding have been scarce, so we have no choice but to make wild guesses regarding the setlist.

To come right out of the gate with “Wannabe” or “Spice Up Your Life” would be to risk stealing the spotlight from the bride and groom (another beheadable offense).

We’re betting on something more lyrically appropriate – “When 2 Become 1” followed by a rousing rendition of “Say You’ll Be There” in order to … spice things up.

Whatever the case, it’s sure to be a memorable performance … that will never be seen by lowly peasants like us. Zigazig ah!

Prince Harry-Meghan Markle Engagement: Actually Happening, Source Says

We know, we know – you’ve heard this one before.

Pretty much from the time the world first learned that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are dating, there have been rumors that a wedding is just around the corner.

At this point, it seems Harry has not yet proposed, but those closest to the couple say they expect him to pop the question any day now.

A royal source tells E! News that even Harry’s staff has been informed that an engagement will likely be announced in the months to come.

“It’s, of course, very serious and both Harry and Meghan are focused on the future,” the insider says.

“Engagement talk isn’t just between the two of them, even some of Harry’s closest aides are quietly expecting news before the end of the year.”

Of course, it may be along time before the couple announces that Harry has put a ring on it.

“She’s hoping that if this is something that happens they can keep the news private for a while before having to go public,”

But it’s looking more and more as though keeping the engagement a secret will be a virtual impossibility.

Already, Harry’s friends are being asked about the wedding, and the way some have talked about it, it seems as though it’s of when, not if.

“I don’t think I’m worried about the wedding. I’m worried about the after party,” said longtime pal Kirstie Ennis in a recent interview.

Asked specifically if Harry and Meghan are already engaged, Ennis declined to comment, further fueling rumors that a wedding will be taking place sooner, rather than later.

There have been reports in recent weeks that Harry and Meghan are having relationship problems, but that’s pretty much the norm with longtime celebrity couples.

There have also been rumors that Harry and Meghan plan to elope, but those also appear to be bogus.

The way it looks now, a Harkle wedding will be happing sometime in the next 18 months, and it’ll be a tradtional, lavish affair.

Many thought it would never happen, but it seems as though Harry is finally looking to settle down for good.

Our premature congrats go out to both the prince and his bride-to-be.

Prince Harry-Meghan Markle Engagement Announcement: Actually on the Way?!

On Saturday, Pippa Middleton married James Matthews in a relatively low-key (by semi-royal standards) ceremony in Berkshire County.

Leading up to the nuptials, there was a considerable amount of debate as to whether Pippa should invite Meghan Markle to her wedding.

Some believed extending an invite would be a lovely way to make Meghan feel welcome in her strange new world.

Others contended that Meghan would overshadow Pippa on what was to her big day.

Ultimately, a compromise was reached and it was decided (and probably decreed by a dude with a flugelhorn and a parchment) that Meghan would attend the reception, but not the ceremony.

There. Now that all that Pippa business is over with, we can get back to obsessing over what the British tabloid media is really interested in these days:

We’re talking, of course, about the question of when Harry will propose to Meghan.

Yes, we’re gone from “if” to “when” on this one, folks.

At this point, there’s no question that this is Harry’s most serious relationship to date, and it seems putting a royal ring on it is a foregone conclusion.

According to People magazine, those who had been holding onto lingering doubts that Harry was in it for the long haul stood corrected after witnessing the couple’s behavior at Pippa’s reception.

“Harry was being the perfect gentleman with Meghan,” one onlooker tells the mag.

“He wants her to acclimatize to it all. It’s such a whole different world to move into — there’s so much to get used to.”

Even the former skeptics are now on board with the idea that we’ll be seeing another royal wedding in the near future, but it might be a while before Harry pops the question.

Naturally, there’s no shortage of rumors as to why he’s holding off.

Some say he wants to wait for the dust to settle from Pippa’s wedding, so as not to steal her thunder.

Others say Harry is waiting on the Queen’s permission to propose.

But hey, maybe he’s just following in the family footsteps and planning to make Meghan wait so long that she becomes an international punchline.

‘Tis a grand tradition.
