MTV Video Music Awards: 11 Best Performances of All Time!
The VMAs aren"t like other award shows.
But unlike when someone you met on Tinder tells you they"re not like other girls/guys, in this case, the claim is legit.
You never know what might happen at the VMAs.
Kanye might interrupt someone"s acceptance speech.
Nicki Minaj might call out Miley Cyrus.
Kanye might interrupt everyone"s acceptance speeches.
You really never know.
In fact, the only thing that"s certain is: there will be some amazing performances.

1. Beyonce: "Love on Top," 2011
Beyonce crushed it with her performance of “Love on Top” in 2011. It didn’t hurt that she capped things off by confirming rumors that she and Jay Z were expecting their first child.
2. Madonna: "Like a Virgin," 1984
The Material Girl was just exploding onto the scene when the VMAs first started confusing parents in 1984. To give you an idea of how different things were then: Herbie Hancock beat out Michael Jackson as the night’s top winner.

The Passion on Fox: Best and Worst Performances!
So… that happened on Fox this past Sunday night.
Tyler Perry, Trisha Yearwood, Chris Daughtry, Yolanda Adams, Seal and many others came together for The Passion, a live television production of the story of Jesus Christ.
It was told through musical numbers that took us back to middle school and it left Twitter with ALL THE FEELS… and ALL THE QUESTIONS.
Below, we rank the the performances from this highly unique TV event from most confusing to most entertaining:
1. Yolanda Adams, "When the Saints Go Marching In"
This will forever be stuck in our heads. Therefore, we rank it very low.
2. Trisha Yearwood, "My Love is Your Love"
Trisha Yearwood played Mary. Who knew she had the pipes to belt out a Whitney Houston cover?!?
3. Jencarlos Canela, "Calling All Angels"
Yes, the man who played Jesus himselg sang “Calling All Angels.” Could someone explain the metaphor to us?
4. Jencarlos Canela, "With Arms Wide Open"
Jesus once again took the wheel here. And sang us some Creed.
5. Prince Royce, "The Reason"
We really never thought we’d hear Hoobastank. Thank you, The Passion!
6. Seal and Jencarlos Canela, "We Don’t Need Another Hero"
The message sent here by Pontius Pilate and Jesus Christ was confusing. But the song was terrific!

Vanessa Hudgens Dedicates These Amazing Grease: Live Performances to Her Father
God bless you, Vanessa Hudgens.
The former High School Musical star shared very sad news with fans just hours before taking to the stage as Rizzo in Grease: Live on Fox last night: her dad passed away from cancer.
Hudgens posted a message on Twitter about her father’s death, adding that she would do the show “in his honor” that evening.
And it’s very safe to say that Hudgens made her late parent proud, most notably with two standout performances.
As Rizzo, Hudgens was tasked with two solos, the first of which (above) featured her making fun of Julianne Hough’s very pure and innocent main character.
The second, “There Are Worse Things I Could Do,” was an emotional ballad that gave us a look inside Rizzo herself:
The performances are impressive enough on their own (heck, Anna Kendrick wants to have sex with Hudgens as a result)… but they’re made even more so when you consider what Hudgens was going through at the time.
“Imagine you had Vanessa Hudgens’ day, and doing that. What a superhero. In total awe,” Tweeted Broadway star Lin-Manuel Miranda in response.
And he was far from alone in his praise:
Austin Butler: WOW @VanessaHudgens singing ‘Worst Things’ had me in tears. Just brilliant.
Demi Lovato: My prayers are with @VanessaHudgens today.. You are one strong, and admirable woman.
Ashley Tisdale: I wouldn’t expect anything less @VanessaHudgens is killing it! So proud of my girl.
And after all the hand-jiving and grease lightnings were over and done with, Fox concluded its three-hour performance with a dedication to Hudgens’ father, Greg.
Sad, but perfect, right?
