Big Brother Recap: Temptation and Twists Galore!

We think it’s fair to say that Big Brother is an addictive reality TV staple that we look forward to.

Thankfully, Season 19 looks to be a return to form for the series. In short, we have the new twists and newbies to thank for that.

It wouldn’t be a season premiere of Big Brother without some sort of new alliance to start the drama off. Unfortunately, new alliances do not have a long shelf life this early.

Alex, Megan, Ramses and Jillian could forge a rock-solid alliance, but that’s if they manage to stand the test of time.

The first big twist of the night found the houseguests competing for $ 25,000 but it was revealed there would be consequences on the house.

Kevin did not even think before taking it and beat out the others. Upon winning, we got the reveal that Kevin would not be eligible to compete in the first Head of Household competition.

Yikes.

Then, the first big consequence of the summer occurred and it was a doozy. Paul Abrahamian returned to the game as a houseguest. Maybe the houseguests will think twice before accepting any other offers.

Paul was the runner-up on Big Brother 18, so something tells us the others will want to get him out of the house quickly.

Veterans have a knack for making it further than they should in the game.

Since Paul was a new houseguest, it meant that one of the others would be evicted. Paul was given friendship bracelets and had eight to hand out to keep certain people safe.

After some back and forth, Paul gifted Kevin, Raven, Dominique, Mark, Jason, Jessica, Ramses and Elena with safety.

When that was all said and done, the others competed in an endurance challenge.

Cody emerged with the win. Jillian, Cameron and Christmas wound up on the block.

The houseguests on the block were offered the opportunity to compete in a challenge to decide who stays, or revert to the old formula and have their fellow houseguests decide their fate.

They chose the latter and Cameron was first to be sent packing. It was definitely a shocker.

There are more ways than ever to rise to power, but there are just as many ways to find yourself on the outs with the house.

Competitions and strategizing have long been the show’s strong point and it looks like both are going to be more integral than ever this time around.

It’s unclear whether other veterans could make their way into the game, and I’m hoping it is not on a weekly basis.

Over to you, Big Brother fans. What did you think of the season opener? Will you stick around for the summer?

Sound off below.

Big Brother continues tonight on CBS.

12 Craziest Twists in PLL History (Plus, 1 Question We Need Answered)

Pretty Little Liars has shocked and stunned us over the years.

But what was the biggest twist on a show best known for its totally crazy twists?

Consider the 12 wildest developments in Pretty Little Liars history below and decide for yourself:

1. A TWIN!

A twin

Mrs. DiLaurentis might be dead. But Mary Grace, her mysterious twin who viewers learned about on the Season 6 finale, is very much alive.

2. Alison is Alive!

Alison is alive

Many viewers out there may have seen this one coming, but did they see her acting as the “good” version of Red Coat coming?

3. Mona is A!

Mona is a

Well, one version of A. The impact of this stunner has lessened over time as Mona’s allegiances remain murky.

4. Toby is a Member of the A Team!

Our jaws crashed to the floor when we saw it was Toby undernearth that hood. But we then learned he was just acting evil in order to help Spencer.

5. Spencer is Also on the A Team!

Spencer is also on the a team

Again, not really. She just faked being a member in order to help out the other Liars, but we weren’t certain of this when the bombshell dropped in Season 3.

6. Ezra is a Stalker!

Ezra is a stalker

Once again, not really. (Are you sensing a pattern here?). While it seemed at first as if Ezra were a villain, he was actually just writing a crime novel about Alison and that was his reasoning for why he was stalking them and had two creepy lairs with surveillance.

Big Brother Season 19 Twists: REVEALED!

Big Brother Season 19 premieres in just over a week on CBS and new details about the upcoming edition are currently being revealed on a daily basis.

With the cast already announced, fans have been questioning what the big twists could be for the series this time around, and we finally have some details on it.

The biggest twist of all has got to be the Den of Temptation. It is a new location within the house with an apple tree because apples apparently mean temptation.

“Temptation has always been a part of Big Brother but this summer we are testing the Houseguests like never before,” said Rich Meehan, Executive Producer, BIG BROTHER.

“There are so many different paths the game could take this season depending on what the Houseguests choose to do. With so many unknowns, we are excited to see how it all plays out.”

It’s certainly a fresh twist, and word on the street is that the Den of Temptation will strike on the first Sunday episode of the season, with some of the houseguests offered something to kick off the drama.

That offer will come in the form of viewers choosing one person to make their way to the den for an offer of something to change the game.

However, the prize could prove detrimental for other houseguests.

Aside from that, not much is known about the premiere, and with CBS dubbing it the “Summer of Temptation,” it sure sounds like the houseguests will be given a lot to think about as they make their decisions.

Julie Chen toured the house earlier today and lifted the lid on a twist inside the Head of Household room. There are safety deposit boxes across one side of the room.

Each of them requires two keys to open them, but still have no idea how a houseguest gets their hands on a key. Could houseguests garner keys for ever single competition they win?

That would make for an exciting twist and would stop people from throwing competitions. There is also word that it viewers could vote for particular houseguests to get the keys.

All will be revealed on June 28 when the series returns to CBS.

Do you like what you hear so far about the new season?
