Daniel Dion Dies; Brother of Celine Dion Was 59

More sad news for one of the world’s most beloved singers today, as TMZ is reporting that Celine Dion’s brother Daniel Dion has passed away.

The news comes just days after the world learned that Celine’s husband, Rene Angelil, had died from throat cancer. 

Daniel, 59, was also battling throat cancer, and it had reportedly spread to his brain and tongue in recent weeks.

Yesterday, Celine’s sister Claudette issued a statement informing the public that Daniel had been given just hours to live.

“It looks a lot like René, he had cancer of the throat, tongue and brain,” Claudette told the press. 

“He is 59 years old, very young to be the end of life…We are with Daniel, day and night.”

Celine has reportedly canceled all of her upcoming concerts in Las Vegas in order to mourn her husband and brother, and be by her family during this incredibly difficult time.

The singer is keeping a low public profile at the moment, and is expected to remain out of the spotlight for the foreseeable future.

Daniel was one of Celine’s 13 brothers and sisters. He leaves behind three children.

Tragically, sources say Daniel lost his wife to cancer just last year.

Dustin Diamond Begins Jail Sentence for Bar Stabbing

If you do the crime, you do the time, and the time has come for Dustin Diamond.

The actor, best known for playing “Screech” on Saved by the Bell, has checked into the Ozaukee County jail in Wisconsin to begin a four-month sentence for disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon.

Diamond was arrested late Christmas night in 2014 after stabbing a man with a switchblade in a bar fight. 

Following the arrest, Diamond claimed he was defending his fiance, Amanda Schutz, who was also found guilty of disorderly conduct and fined $ 500.

“I sincerely apologize to everyone involved,” he said during his sentencing. “This was the single most terrifying experience of my life … This is all I’ve been able to think about for the last six months.”

However, it could’ve been a lot worse for Screech.

The actor was found not guilty of the more serious felony charge of recklessly endangering public safety and only has to serve time for the misdemeanors.

Diamond is just one of many child stars whose illustrious beginnings took a nosedive as a grown up.

He’s made some valiant efforts, but sadly his scatalogical sex tape and appearances on bad reality TV hasn’t done much to revive his career.

Rob Kardashian: Not Taking Diabetes Seriously, Family Worried Sick

It’s been less than a month since Rob Kardashian was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with diabetes, but now his unhealthy ways has his family worried to death.

While they hoped the health scare would set him on the right track in addressing his issues with compulsive eating and addiction, it seems he’s not taking the diagnosis to heart and they now fear for his life.

According to a report by TMZ, Rob still insists on eating junk even though his mom Kris Jenner and his sisters have hired a nutritionist, a trainer and a full-time chef who specializes in diabetes diets to help him get healthy. 

The report also notes that he has to administer insulin shots once a day, but even that hasn’t stopped his return to gluttony.

It’s unfortunate, because we felt a glimmer of hope for Rob earlier this week when his sister Khloe Kardashian told GMA’s Lara Spencer that he was doing well and finally taking his health seriously.

Of course, prior reports claimed that Rob was holed up in his room on a food bender and the other day he posted a pic of brother-in-law Kanye West bathing in a pool of doughnuts, so we’re not sure what to believe.

But when he refused rehab despite Kris offering him a cool $ 1 million to go, we were like, okay, this guy really doesn’t GAF.

I’d gladly trade Mickey D’s and ice cream for quinoa and kale with that kind of money on the table.

Then again, $ 1 million to a Kardashian is probably like $ 20 to you and me, so who knows. 

Unfortunately, money can only buy health if the patient is willing to participate.

We’re hoping Rob finds the strength to get well. Godspeed, brother.
