Bella Thorne Posts Makeup-Free Selfie, Reveals Struggle With Acne

If you follow Bella Thorne on Instagram, you know the girl shows a fair amount of skin in her frequent selfies.

But even though Bella’s workout photos tend to get the most attention from her followers, her latest pic might be her most revealing to date.

Yes, Bella has become the latest celeb to take part in the no-makeup selfie trend.

Generally, when celebs post a bare-faced photo, they’re at least partially motivated by the desire to show the world how flawless their skin is.

But while Bella certainly looks gorgeous in her all-natural state, she revealed a much more important reason for posting the pic in the lengthy caption that accompanies it:

“I know us girls love to put on makeup, not only for fun but sometimes to hide our insecurities…well, here is a photo of me without ANY makeup on my face.

“I took this photo while arriving to set this morning. Personally, I struggled with acne for a long time. I used to cry every night because I thought I looked so ugly. I used to read comments about my face, my skin, my nose, my eyes, and even my beauty marks people didn’t approve of.

“Putting makeup over acne makes it so much worse.

I know lots of my friends also struggle with acne and it’s something you can’t control. I know lots of people think others with acne are ‘dirty’ or ‘don’t take care of themselves.’ That is false.

My question to you is: Why should we be judged?

Use #mynaturalbeauty & lets inspire every girl to be proud of what they look like and who they are. I love you guys.

Oh and ps…If you don’t accept me for my insecurities please get off my page :)”

This isn’t the first time that Ms. Thorne has spoken openly about her past struggles and insecurities.

In a recent interview Bella talked about being bullied by a peer who continues to give her a hard time to this day.

So if you’re feeling your self-esteem dipping to a dangerous low today, just remember that even the flawless human specimen known as Bella Thorne doubts her beauty sometimes.

If that doesn’t convince you that no one is immune to it, we don’t know what will.

The View Slams on Stacey Dash: Sell Out! Hypocrite!

Slam! Wham! Bam!

The ladies of The View came out swinging today when the hot topic of Stacey Dash was brought up.

The Fox News contributor stirred a great deal of controversy on Wednesday when she cited a "double standard" upon criticizing anyone who would boycott this year"s Oscars over its lack of diverse nominees.

Dash went on to call for the end of Black History Month and of the network BET because they feed into a segregation-based mindset, she argued.

The View co-host Sunny Hostin was first to jump all over Dash for taking this point of view.

"I think it’s the height of hypocrisy that Stacey Dash would say that there should be no BET when she had a recurring role on the BET series The Game," Hoston said, something BET itself pointed out in a pretty awesome Tweet yesterday.

"I just think it’s incredible that she would give up whatever values she had in the first place to pander to an audience that is sort of angry and scared of people that don’t look like that," Hostin added.

"[Dash] is doing it for the dollar. When you compromise your values for money, you know who you are."

Ouch. Pretty harsh words, huh?

Paula Faris then tried to play Devil’s Advocate, stating that “racial tensions are at an all-time high,” and perhaps BET is creating a “divide” among people.

"[Black History Month is] not taught as it pertains to America. American history holds all of us – and [Dash] is right in that – but we"re not all treated like Americans," she said.

"And one of the reasons there is a BET is because networks wouldn"t take a lot of the shows that have an all-black cast."
