James Howell: Arrested With Arsenal of Weapons En Route to LA Pride Parade

Police in Santa Monica, Calif., have confirmed that 20-year-old James Howell of Indiana was arrested this weekend before an LA Pride parade.

He was heavily armed at the time of his apprehension.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said the arrest came after receiving a tip from someone in a neighborhood where Howell was loitering.

Someone who saw something said something, and authorities detained Howell, who was heavily armed and on his way to the pride parade.

It is unknown what his intentions were at this time.

Officials do not believe there is any connection with Saturday’s nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida, the deadliest in American history.

Omar Mateen took the lives of 50 people and injured 53 more before being killed by police at Pulse nightclub in the central Florida city.

Meanwhile, across the country, James Howell may or may not have been planning something nefarious, but is in custody in any event.

According to multiple media sources, Howell had multiple weapons (or a small arsenal) in his car before the West Hollywood Pride event.

It is believed he was in possession of three assault rifles, high capacity magazines, ammunition, and a bucket with chemicals to make a bomb.

TMZ reports today that Howell was arrested less than a year ago for pointing a gun in a threatening manner at his Indiana neighbor.

Arrested and charged with pointing a firearm at another person, as well as intimidation, Howell copped a plea to the intimidation charge.

Howell got a year’s probation for that crime.

Selena Gomez Cries in Concert Over Christina Grimmie

Selena Gomez paid tribute to her late friend on Saturday night.

On stage for a concert in Miami, the beloved artist took a few moments to acknowledge the senseless and tragic death of Christina Grimmie.

A former contestant on The Voice, Grimmie was shot and killed while signing autographs following a show in Orlando on Friday.

She was only 22 years old at the time.

News outlets have confirmed that a shooter named Kevin James Loibl approached Grimmie during her meet-and-greet and simply opened fire.

He was wrestled to the ground by the singer"s brother and eventually turned the gun on himself.

The 22-year old died at a local hospital not long after this inexplicable incident.

Grimmie was signed to a recording deal a few years ago by Gomez"s stepfather.

She had opened for Selena twice on tour, once in 2011 and once in 2013.

Soon after learning the horrible news of Grimmie"s death, Gomez shared the following photo on Twitter and wrote of her friend:

"My heart is absolutely broken. I miss you Christina."

Just a few hours later, she broke down on stage.

“When she was 14, we met her. My parents and I signed her,” Gomez said of Grimmie.

“And one thing about Christina and her family, is that she holds her faith so closely to her. It’s not about her religion, and it’s not about good deeds. It’s just that she had faith.

"And I don’t really understand how this happened, but I would like to dedicate this next song to her.”

Gomez then sat down at a piano and performed “Transfiguration.”

It was a moving, powerful performance, although we wish, of course, that the dedication never had to take place.

Watch Selena"s tribute below and join us in sending condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Christina Grimmie.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians Recap: Reverse The Kurse!

Is there such a thing as a Kardashian Kurse?

That subject, oft-debated here at THG, was broached head-on last night on E!’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 12 Episode 6

You don’t have to watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online to know that everyone who dates one of them crashes and burns.

Seriously. In Kylie Jenner’s words: “Every male figure that comes and dates a Kardashian … their life just kinda goes down hill after that.”

#Truth.

Scott Disick, in the midst of such a downturn, was told he needed to set a rooster free in order to break the curse, so that is what he did.

At the end of the day, it made for a great scene in which The Lord wrestled poultry, then admitted that, well, he probably isn’t cursed.

When Kim and Kourtney Kardashian said the real curse is that he doesn’t take responsibility for his actions … even he couldn’t argue.

As for the men of Khloe Kardashian, she’s still dealing with the mess that is Lamar Odom, of course … and now with French Montana.

Oh yes, she ran into her rapper ex, and things got flirty and awkward when he decided to caress her hand and grab has ass to boot(y).

Khloe told her ex: “Don’t touch me. Too low.”

French’s response? “That thing’s still fat.”

Whatever’s going on between herself and French, Khloe is filing for divorce from Lamar again, whether he’s on the same page or not.

As Kim put it, “She doesn’t want to create any situation that would, like, cause him to be depressed or go back into any kinda old bad habits.”

Meanwhile, Khloe went to Napa with Kris and Kourtney, where they proceeded to get completely drunk. Especially Kris. Oh goodness.

When she starts dropping f-bombs for no reason and asking her daughters what “squirting” is, that’s the sign of a good time right there.

Well, until Kris offered to take Lamar to dinner.

Khloe ripped into her mom, “I don’t look at Lamar in a romantic way. I want to have kids one day. I might wanna get remarried one day!”

“So I’m just gonna sit in this weird space?”

“Like, what? Lamar and I are not together, that is what I’m trying to tell you. I need to move on, and I will be filing for divorce very soon.”

Finally, Jonathan Cheban got back at BFF Kim but ignoring him by chilling with Instagram hottie and Kardashian clone Kamilla Osman.

So #meta.

“The fact that Jonathan would take it to this level is so bizarre to me,” Kim said of her best friend’s trolling after meeting her lookalike.

“Jonathan’s trying to rub this in my face and make me feel some type of way, but I don’t. Having two kids is a lot, priorities just change.”

Cheban also joked about trading her in for Kourtney because she’s the “funny one now,” to which Kourt replied, “Was Kim ever funny?”

No. No she was not.

Finally, Kendall worried that Rob will go back to his reclusive ways if Blac Chyna broke his heart. That may still happen, but for now?

She’s pregnant, they’re over the moon and Kris will be producing a Blac Chyna and Rob TV wedding from what we’re told. So … that.

Tony Awards 2016: Who Won?!?

The 2016 Tony Awards aired live from New York on Sunday night.

Although host James Corden and company were forced to take a sobering tone due to the tragic Orlando shooting that took place in a gay nightclub just hours prior to the event.

“Our hearts go out to all of those affected by this atrocity,” Corden said to open the ceremony, adding:

“You’re not on your own. Your tragedy is our tragedy. Hate will never win. We have to make sure of that. Tonight’s show stands as a symbol of that principle.”

And that show did have to go on, despite the death of 50 people in Florida.

As expected, the best-reviewed and most popular production in Broadway dominated the winner’s circle.
