Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: Surrogate Details Revealed!

Kim and Kanye’s third baby is officially on the way. Via surrogate, of course — so Kim’s nude tree-climbing can continue. But also because pregnancies are especially hard on Kim, so why put yourself through that if you don’t have to?

We have also learned that Kim is due in January, and it’s reported that Kim and Kanye are expecting a baby girl!

But now we know something else — a little more about this surrogate mom that the power couple has hired.

When you’re looking for a surrogate, you want to make sure that they’re above reproach.

You’re trusting them with one of the most important things in your life. And also with a fair amount of your money.

First, you need to make sure that they’re not out to scam you.

Second, you need to make sure that they’re in good health.

That means taking their prenatal vitamins, going to every appointment (that you pay for), not being on any drugs, not living a dangerous lifestyle.

Thirdly, though, you need to make sure that they’re trustworthy.

Because it’s illegal to sell human beings — like, say, a newborn baby — no amount of money that you pay a surrogate and no contract that you sign with them can guarantee that they’ll hand over the baby after giving birth.

A surrogate who balks at the last minute might, we imagine, get in trouble in civil or even criminal court (for fraud) or get in trouble with the agency that employs them, but … that won’t give you your baby if you trusted the wrong person.

That’s a huge fear for a lot of hopeful parents who hire a surrogate.

Fortunately, in this case, it looks like Kim and Kanye have found the perfect surrogate.

TMZ reports that Kim and Kanye’s surrogate is a fit, married mom.

That’s a far cry from the “desperate for cash” image that a lot of people conjure up for surrogates.

According to their sources, Kimye’s surrogate is a black woman in her twenties.

Your twenties may not be a convenient time for most people to have kids, thanks to economic and social factors (having kids is expensive and most people want to find a real partner first), but in terms of physical health, those are the best years for giving birth.

The surrogate’s husband is also in his twenties, and they’ve been married for five years.

She is a college graduate with two young boys, so she’s familiar with pregnancy and with childbirth and knows what to expect.

(Babies from a different partner or, in this case, from two different people can be a little different, but some surrogates never notice a difference from other pregnancies)

Entertainingly, TMZ reports that the surrogate is a registered Democrat.

Like mother, like surrogate, we’re guessing.

There’s no telling how Kanye is registered or if he even is registered, since the “eccentric” star stated that he didn’t even vote in 2016.

And that, if he had, he would have voted for Donald Trump.

That bizarre rant on stage was part of the breakdown that he had that required him to cancel is tour, of course.

Honestly, it’s more than a little goofy that TMZ or their source looked up her politics in the first place, but we guess that when you’re looking into someone, you give as much information as you can.

We don’t know the surrogate’s name, thank goodness, because this woman deserves her anonymity.

Especially while she’s pregnant … but also afterwards.

We’re pretty sure that the service that Kim and Kanye are using values discretion.

We hope that North is excited about a little baby sister. That’s the dream for older siblings, right? To have a baby brother and a baby sister.

Saint, we suppose, will only have sisters, but that can work out pretty well, too.

It’s probably a lot weirder for North, this time around, since there’s no baby bump — one day, the baby will just arrive.

As if by stork.

Kate Middleton Due Date: Revealed!!

Prince William and Kate Middleton announced that they’re expecting their third child earlier this week, and now we know when.

Approximately. Probably. Maybe.

As was the case in late 2012, Kate’s morning sickness, hyperemesis gravidarum, forced her to miss a public appearance.

It was that which forced her to explain to the public why she was ill, revealing the joyous baby news sooner than she may have preferred.

In other words, we know Kate Middleton is pregnant with her third royal offspring very early in the pregnancy. Which leads us to this:

Many, if not most women wait until the 12-week mark, around the end of their first trimester, to go public with the fact that they’re expecting.

The risk of miscarriages is dramatically reduced after that point, which it’s widely assumed the 35-year-old hasn’t reached yet.

Or has she?

William, speaking at the National Mental Health and Policing conference in Oxford, England, on September 5, may have spilled it.

When congratulated by an audience member, he said, “Thank you, it’s very good news. There’s not much sleep going on at the moment.”

He continued, according to Life & Style, by saying that “it was a bit anxious to start with,” but that they can “start celebrating this week.”

Many interpreted that quote as an acknowledgment that the 12-week pregnancy benchmark has been reached, or will be imminently.

If she were 12 weeks pregnant tomorrow, for example, the 40-week mark (typically one’s due date) would be March 23, 2018.

Expect the bookmakers to have a field day with that, along with the names of the child … not that Will or Kate will spill that.

These two keep things close to the vest overall.

In any case, Middleton’s third royal baby will be fifth in the line of succession for the British throne, behind Prince Charles, the heir apparent.

Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte are next, in that order, followed by William’s brother Prince Harry … for now.

Due to a change in the law of succession concerning gender, little Charlotte will not be leapfrogged if her younger sibling is a boy.

Queen Elizabeth II has reigned for more than 60 (!) years with no end in sight, though the future of the throne is a fun parlor game.

Rumors of Kate Middleton becoming queen have run rampant lately, with the implication behind that HRM wants Charles to abdicate.

Don’t bet on that happening, even if the crux of this gossip – that Will and Kate would be more popular monarchs – has some validity.

We don’t think Will or Kate are the types who care to push his own dad out of the way, either. They seem to value their privacy.

Especially while they’re raising young kids, the status quo – a healthy queen, and Charles as heir apparent – will suit them well.

Here’s wishing Kate good health as she battles this severe morning sickness for the third time, while raising two little children.

Royal or not, that’s a tall order.
