Teen Mom OG Recap: Call Me When He"s About Three!

When Mackenzie Standifer told husband Ryan Edwards that she was no longer on birth control on Monday night’s Teen Mom OG, he …

… reacted about like you’d imagine Ryan Edwards would.

When Teen Mom OG Season 5 Episode 17 kicked off, Ryan seemed happy about his new wife’s decision … at first. Not for long.

A little while later, she told him she wasn’t feeling too well, and was really nervous to boot. He didn’t even look up from his phone.

She claimed (to a friend) that when she revealed she was pregnant to Ryan, he was “so excited he couldn’t contain himself.”

Yet when she spoke to Edwards later about how much work they had to do to prepare for the child’s arrival, he responded:

“Yeah, call me when he’s about three.”

Suffice it to say, she was not overjoyed.

“That’s a d–k thing to say,” she said.

Meanwhile, Ryan’s ex Maci Bookout and her husband Taylor McKinney considered adopting another baby to expand their family.

Whenever Maci thought about getting pregnant again, she became consumed with the memory of her tragic recent miscarriage.

Already the mother of three – Bentley, with Ryan, and Jayde and Maverick, with Taylor – she decided to research the adoption option.

What did she find out?

Well, WE found out that the couple weren’t interested as much in a baby or a toddler, but an older child that needed a good home!

They also learned, and we learned as a result, that given the way the process worked, the next 2-3 years worked best for them.

That will be exciting!

Elsewhere if you watch Teen Mom OG online, you’ll see Catelynn Lowell finish her final week in treatment … at least this round.

Poor Cate has been in and out of rehab for mental health battles for months, and we give her so much credit for her resolve.

Her husband, Tyler Baltierra, certainly knows a lot about the subject; Tyler and his sister, Amber, went to visit their father Butch.

Butch is also in rehab for his own reasons.

Amber and Tyler were both extremely emotional about seeing him, particularly after he revealed that he’s doing a lot better lately.

“It’s a wonderful feeling. It’s something I’ve never felt before,” Butch said. “I couldn’t be more grateful for anything in my life or anyone.”

“This is only the beginning.”

Here’s hoping.

The Voice Recap: The Coaches Get More Power Than Ever Before!

With the Battle Rounds well and truly out of the way, it was time for the Knockout Rounds to continue to narrow down the contestants.

A major twist was unleashed that also gifted the coaches with saves, meaning that they could save one of their own contestants after a performance.

Yes, Season 14 is changing things up, and that’s good for an aging series.

Former contestants, Jordan Smith, Chloe Kohanski, Chris Blue and Cassadee Pope, returned to assist Team Adam, Team Blake, Team Alicia and Team Kelly, respectively.

Okay, let’s break down the six Knockouts of the night.

Team Blake: Kyla Jade singing “You Don’t Own Me” vs. Jaclyn Lovey singing “Put Your Records On.”

Jaclyn kicked this battle for a spot in the competition off, and while it was an okay performance, there was nothing remotely exciting about it.

This was a stark contrast from the way things were for her at the Blind Auditions. This was like a completely different performer, and that’s not a good thing.

A terrible song choice can destroy all credibility for a performer, and that’s a real shame.

Kyla upped her game in a way that I didn’t think was possible. Everything about her rendition of the Lesley Gore classic screamed confidence and finesse.

Winner: Kyla

Save: N/A

Team Kelly: Kaleb Lee singing “Free” vs. Justin Kilgore singing “Shameless.”

Kaleb turned in a solid performance that solidified why he has made so far into the competition. Like Kyla, he improved significantly from his other performances.

Then there was Justin, who proved that he does not have the vocal ability to make it all the way to the live shows. It could be argued that The Voice lets too many sub-par performers all the way to the live shows.

Winner: Kaleb

Save: N/A

Team Adam: Mia Boostrom singing “Wade in the Water” vs. Jackie Foster singing “Bring Me to Life.”

This was a difficult one to watch. Jackie had a lot of great moments singing the Evanescence classic. Like, she knew what was expected of her, and she delivered and then some.

Mia, however, emerged as the better performer, but it was still a tough call … unlike the previous knockouts that came before her.

Winner: Mia

Save: Jackie to Team Alicia

Team Blake: Spensha Baker singing “Broken Halos” vs. Austin Giorgio singing “Almost Like Being in Love.”

This was another close call, and Blake struggled to make a decision about which one to save, so he kept both of them.

They were difficult to benchmark against each other because of how similar they were performance-wise.

Winner: Spensha

Save: Blake saved Austin!

Team Alicia: Johnny Bliss singing “Alive” vs. Miya Bass singing “Castle on the Hill.”

Thankfully, this Knockout was easier to see coming. Johnny’s performance was not spectacular, but it was a cut above Miya’s. Maybe it was unfair to put these two together, but it’s all about getting rid of the weaker vocalists at this stage.

Winner: Johnny Bliss

Save: N/A

Team Adam: Jackie Verna singing “American Honey” vs. Drew Cole singing “Slow Hands.”

Jackie and Drew are at similar stages of their careers, and their voices are actually quite similar. Both performances were decent, and it was clear that another save was going to be used.

Winner: Jackie

Save: Adam Saved Drew!

Okay, what did you think of the performances?

Were you happy with who made it further?

The Voice continues tonight on NBC!

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Stun the World, Announce Separation

Love is officially dead.

We are most definitely living in the darkest timeline.

Everything will believed to be right has turned out to be so very very wrong.

Yes, we said and thought all these things when Donald Trump was elected President.

But we’re now saying and thinking them because Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have announced they are ending their marriage.

Yes, that Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan, the same couple who once said they have amazing primal sex and whose tribute to each other on the occasion of an anniversary in 2016 made us laugh and cry.

What the heck could have happened?!

We don’t know just yet.

But the actor and actress, who met on the set of iconic dance movie Step Up over a decade ago, released a joint statement on Monday night that reads as follows:

“Hey world! So… We have something we would like to share.

“First off, it feels odd that we have to share this kind of thing with everyone, but it’s a consequence of the lives we’ve chosen to lead, which we also happen to be deeply grateful for.

“We’re living in an incredible moment in time, but it’s also a time where truth can easily get distorted into ‘alternative facts.’

“So we want to share the truth so you know that if you didn’t read it here then it’s most certainly fiction.”

Indeed, this is undoubtedly the most cheerful break-up announcement in recent memory.

The Twitter message continues/concludes as follows:

We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together.

Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now.

There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision – just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.

We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly. We won’t be commenting beyond this, and we thank you all in advance for respecting our family’s privacy.

Sending lots of love to everyone.

Wow, right?!?!?

The stars are each 37 years old and share a daughter; she turns five in May.

They got married in 2009 and talk did start to circulate late last year that there may be trouble in attractive paradise after Dewan attended the American Music Awards solo.

But still.

Channing had previously scoffed at rumors of marital strife.

“It’s all bullsh-t,” Tatum previously The Hollywood Reporter, adding:

“These people just [make it up]. Some of our family members don’t see [it’s not true], and they read a stupid thing and don’t understand it’s a tabloid.”

Well, this time it is not a tabloid.

This time we have heard the news straight from Tatum’s gorgeous mouth itself.

We’re stunned. We’re shook. Our true love confidence level is at an all-time low.

At the very least, we’ll always have Anna Faris and Chris Pratt, right?

Wait…. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Back in February, Dewan did scoff at the notion that her relationship was totally perfect.

But she sounded very normal and grounded in explaining what the romance was like, telling Health magazine:

“I think there are such things as great fits. It is a great fit as long as you are growing together, and I think up until this point we’ve really grown together.

“Even if one starts to grow, the other catches up and vice versa. But I think a couple needs to be conscious and to want to do the work and be willing to look at the parts of you that need work.

“Both of us have been pretty aware and willing to do that. We’ve always had the same values. But we’re not perfect! Are you kidding?

“We fight like other couples, we disagree about things, we have days where we don’t really like each other.”

Oh well.

We wish each half of this former union nothing but the best.

We have a feeling neither will have trouble finding a new lover.
