Jamie Lynn Spears" Daughter: Back at School!

Valentine’s Day took on a special meaning this year for Jaime Lynn Spears and her husband, Jaime Watson.

(Yes, Jaime Lynn Spears is married to a man named Jaime. And her father’s name is also Jaime. Just go with it, okay?)

Just over a week beforehand, after all, they were unsure whether the love of their life, eight-year old daughter Maddie, would even survive a horrific ATV accident.

But fast forward several days and Maddie is alive, well and back at school.

Sort of.

“Maddie isn’t quite ready to return to school, but her doctors did clear her to bring in her Valentine’s Day treats to her class today,” Jamie Lynn wrote as a caption to the above photo.

It features young Maddie, a smile across her face while holding up candies.

“It made her so happy to see her friends, and be able to give them such cute treats,” Jamie Lynn continued, adding:

“It was a great moment for us after everything that has happened. We are so thankful to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the ones we love, and we don’t take a second of it for granted.

“Happy Valentine’s Day.”

On the afternoon of February 3, Maddie lost control of her child’s off-road vehicle when she swerved to avoid a drainage ditch.

The car flipped over and landed face-down in a pond.

Jamie Lynn and her husband rushed to help their child, but were unable to release Maddie from her seatbelt.

Fortunately, paramedics arrived on the scene, freed the little girl and transported her to a nearby Louisiana hospital.

Things look bleak at first, however, with Jaime Lynn’s father and famous sister asking fans to keep Maddie in their prayers in the day or so after the accident.

“All I can say is pray for our baby Maddie,” Jaime Spears told Entertainment Tonight on February 4, while Britney later added via Instagram:

“Need all the wishes and prayers for my niece.”

Britney included this precious photo of Maddie along with her message:

On Tuesday, February 7, the Children’s Hospital in New Orleans said s in a statement that Maddie was awake and thankfully didn’t suffer “any neurological consequences from the accident.”

Three days later, she was on her way home.

Watson passed this great news along to social media followers by sharing a picture of his daughter in a helicopter (below) and included with it the following caption:

Thanks to the amazing first responders, and medical teams at University and Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, LA, we are headed home with our baby girl as she continues to recover.

Above all else we are so thankful for each and every prayer, because we know that is what truly made the difference. Thank you again to everyone.

We are truly blessed.

Shortly after Maddie was safe and sound and on the road to recovery back at home, Britney updated her Instagram followers.

“So grateful that Maddie was able to go home today… it’s truly a miracle,” the singer wrote last Friday, adding:

“Our prayers were heard, and they were answered! Thank you so much for all of your love and support this week. My family appreciates it more than you will ever know.”
