On this week’s episode of Counting On, the focus once again fell on the relationship between Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo.
If the show’s ratings are any indication, then fans feel they’ve seen more than enough of the Vuolos budding romance, but now that the actual wedding is out of the way, perhaps producers will finally move on to a new storyline.
Like, say, one of the young Duggar men finally leaving the nest and starting a courtship of his own.
Yes, we know eldest son Josh Duggar was the first in his generation to get married, but look how that turned out.
They may be shellshocked by witnessing the many Josh Duggar sex scandals, but eventually the Duggar sons are gonna have to get out in the world and start a-courtin’.
And some fans believe the show’s been dropping hints that one of Jim Bob and Michelle’s many boys will soon be headed to the altar.
In the most recent wedding episode, a trio of family friends helped with the preparations for Jinger’s wedding:
Austin Forsyth, Kendra Caldwell, and Lauren Caldwell all helped assemble a large “V” made out of roses to be placed near the altar.
Shortly after the wedding, fans learned that Austin is courting Joy-Anna Duggar.
Now, rumors are swirling about the possibility of the Caldwell sisters being romantically involved with two of the Duggar men.
“Sooooo…Austin was helping with the flower trip, and so were those two Caldwell girls…again… When is the courtship announcement coming for one or more of the Duggar boys?” reads one comment on the family’s official blog.
Several other fans echoed the sentiment, and now many Duggar obsessives believe that we’re about to see a lot more of the Caldwell girls.
The leading theory seems to be that 22-year-old Joseph Duggar is courting one of the Caldwell girls, and that either Jedidiah or Jeremiah, both 18, is involved with the other.
Little is known about the girls (including their ages) other than the fact that their father is a preacher in Fayetteville, Arkansas, which would make them prime courtship candidates.
Fans have claimed that the Caldwell girls were recently spotted at a Valentine’s Day party at the Duggar Compound in Tontitown, but those claims are unsubstantiated.
The most recent Duggar male to embark on a romantic relationship was Josiah, who briefly courted Marjorie Jackson, before the relationship ended under mysterious circumstances.
Fans are crossing their fingers that these latest courtships will meet with greater success.
