Demi Lovato has been through A LOT, folks.
As the singer herself recently chronicled upon celebrating her five years of sobriety, Lovato has suffered through an eating disorder, hardcore drug use and a past that includes self-mutilation.
So if you think she’d be bothered by the release of a semi-naked photo against her will, well…
… you’d be very wrong.
Indeed, Lovato has been included in the latest round of illegal hacking by some sick individual who broke into the accounts of such stars as Emma Watson and Amanda Seyfried.
This total and complete loser has stolen naked pictures of these female stars and shared the images on 4Chan.
According to that website, the pictures range from “tame selfies to explicitly sexual.”
The hack job is reminiscent of 2014’s The Fappening, in which Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton and many others also had their nude bodies exposed to the world by an unethical computer nerd.
In this latest case, insiders have hinted that Watson and Seyfried may pursue legal recourse against the hacker.
But it doesn’t sound as if Lovato will follow suit.
While she clearly doesn’t condone this invasion of her privacy, she also doesn’t think the the picture of her that’s been leaked online is that big of a deal.
“I love how everyone’s freaking out about one picture. It’s not nude and it’s just cleavage,” Lovato Tweeted in response to the scandal.
We’re not going to post the picture here because we have morals.
Referencing a pictorial in Vanity Fair back in 2015, Lovato humorously added:
“Besides the world has seen me nude BY CHOICE before.. #vanityfair #nicetry #cleavagegameonpoint #myboobsarenteventhatbig #angles.”
It’s true.
Lovato received some flak for that magazine spread, but explained at the time why she chose to pose naked.
“I want to inspire other women,” Demi said in October of 2015, adding:
“For someone who’s had body image issues since they were a child, I went from hating every inch of my body to showing every inch of my body to the entire world and without touching up anything.
“I wouldn’t have done that six months ago, because I didn’t have the confidence that I do today.”
So there you have it.
Lovato also shared the following topless photo of herself on Instagram just a few days ago:
She clearly feels very good about her body these days.
This doesn’t mean it was acceptable for some hacker to leak any photos of her on the Internet.
That moron should still be tracked down and prosecutor, we’re sure Lovato would agree.
But the best revenge against someone like this is to prove that he has no control over you; to shrug him off and to not give him the attention he so badly desires.
So not only is Lovato’s cleavage game on point, so is her response game.
