Last week, Amber Portwood revealed that she would invite all of the stars of the Teen Mom franchise to her upcoming wedding, and she was brutally rebuffed by a bafflingly butthurt Farrah Abraham.
Now it looks as though Jenelle Evans learned from Amber’s mistake of thinking that anything involving the ladies of Teen Mom could possibly be drama-free.
Jenelle is engaged to David Eason, and while most of her wedding details remain up in the air (Jenelle says she has yet to select a date or location for the nuptials.), there’s one thing the Carolina Hurricane knows for sure:
None of the moms from either Teen Mom 2 or the original series will be in attendance to watch her say “I do.”
“I just want it to be the people I’m closest with,” Evans told E! when asked if her co-stars are invited.
“I’m not too close of friends with any of them.”
That’s putting it very mildly, as Jenelle has feuded with or thrown shade at just all of her fellow cast members at one point or another.
It’s worth noting (and not all that surprising) that Jenelle and Farrah Abraham do get along, but even Jenelle realizes you don’t invite violent egomaniacs to your wedding if you don’t have to.
Interestingly, Jenelle’s ban on Teen Mom 2 stars might extend to her own family, as Ms. Evans says she has yet to decide if her mother, the divisive Barbara Evans, will receive an invite:
“The relationship I have with my mother is the same as it has always been, sadly,” she said when asked about Babs.
“We have not decided if she will be invited or not. Our relationship is getting more damaged every day, but I have already told her this.”
Yes, this wedding could be a tragically Babs-free affair.
The ceremony will almost certainly be filmed by MTV, but without any of Jenelle’s famous foils on hand, what’s the point?
We understand she’s trying to keep the new chapter in her life as drama-free as possible, but it seems Jenelle doesn’t realize that she’s the one who created most of the drama in her past.
Really, the only way that Jenelle could ensure there are no unhinged lunatics prone to sudden bursts of violence at her wedding is if she stayed home herself.
