Abby Lee Miller SLAMS Ex-Students, Sinks to New Low

Upon quitting Dance Moms last month, Abby Lee Miller made her feelings about producers on this Lifetime series very well known.

She held nothing back when criticizing executives who she alleges cut her budget and treated her with no respect.

It was a scathing rant and it was followed up with interviews in which Miller continued to bash the heck out of those behind the production Dance Moms.

But fine, great, whatever.

Miller is an adult and she was calling out other adults and there may even be some legitimacy behind some of her claims.

Now, however, Abby has aimed her wrath in the direction of her former students, young women who are simply trying to do what’s best for themselves.

Those who watch Dance Moms online saw this past season that Kalani Hilliker, Nia Sioux, Kendall Vertes and Camryn Bridges all left the ALDC for another studio.

It was a significant plot point on the show and it was a decision that clearly still bothers Miller.

In praising Bridget, a student who stuck around under her tutelage, via an Instagram post this week, the very mean ex-Dance Moms host took clear shots at the girls who chose to leave.

“It’s amazing to see how much a child can accomplish when they show up, listen, practice, give 100%, attend all rehearsals, show respect and loyalty to all instructors,” Miller wrote on her account, comparing Bridget to the aforementioned quartet and adding:

“She doesn’t run around to a bunch of other studios to take a class! Never confuse taking a class w/ being trained!”

Miller didn’t even stop here.

“Don’t ever think getting free merchandise has something to do with your dance tech!” she concluded.

“And realize all the social events in Hollywood will never take the place of beautiful flexible legs & feet!”

Yes, this is Abby Lee Miller calling out her former students for seeking fame over proper dance teaching and technique.

This is the same Abby Lee Miller who pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud last year and who faces a possible jail sentence this spring and who isn’t exactly in the position to criticize… anyone.

She’s been on the war path for the past few weeks, however.

This is simply the first time she’s gone after actual students in that time.

“It’s not about the money,” Miller told Access Hollywood shortly after announcing her Dance Moms departure, adding:

“It’s about the respect. It’s about the trust… I don’t want flowers or candy or anything like that, I just want somebody to say, ‘Wow, you’ve done a great job."”

Miller also complained many times that she wasn’t given the proper money for costumes and other necessary items during her run on the program.

“This was a long time coming for me,” Miller told People Magazine in separate interview. “Nobody knew. I was just so irate.”

That’s not entirely accurate. In our minds, Abby Lee Miller is always irate.

Cheryl Burke will take over as Dance Moms host for Season 8.

She has already started filming episodes and the network says it has no plans to cancel the series in the wake of Abby’s departure.

Miller has said Burke is “great” and that she’d even consider a return down the line, but it doesn’t seem likely.

“They know how to push my buttons but it’s gone beyond that, to the point where it is so offensive as a woman,” Miller said of the producers last month.

“I think it’s detrimental to my health, to my mental health, to everything. It’s awful. There’s no privacy, there’s no respect.”
