In 2011, a young French model named Thylane Blondeau blew up on the Internet after she was dubbed "the most beautiful girl in the world."
With famous parents (soccer star Patrick Blondeau and actress Véronika Loubry), Blondeau was featured in a Vogue spread that led to a great deal of backlash, considering she was only 11 years old at the time.
That was over six years ago, however.
What has happened to Blondeau since then?
Has she faced the sort of downward spiral that often afflicts child stars? Or has she gone on to a successful career?
Let"s take a journey and find out below!
1. A Very Young Start
Blondeau’s mother and father got her into modeling almost at the age of four. In 2005, she participated in the Jean Paul Gaultier fashion show, actually walking down the runway.
2. The Praise Starts Early
We don’t wish to sound all creepy, but these piercing blue eyes made it clear early on that Blondeau would grow up to be a beauty. Many said so at the time.
3. But, Really, Though?
Many critics wondered if a girl this young should be on the runway.
4. Young and Beautiful
Some countries don’t even allow kids under the age of 16 from serving as professional models. But France is not among them.
5. Another Modeling Shot
Here’s a look at Blondeau prior to one of her fashion shows as a child.
6. The Vogue Shoot
At the age of 11, Blondeau shot into the spotlight as a result of this Vogue spread.
