TLC may soon need to change the title of Little People, Big World.
How does Little People, VERY Big World strike you?
Back on May 12, Zach Roloff and Tori Roloff welcomed their first child into the world, an adorable little guy naked Jackson Kyle.
And then in September, Jeremy Roloff and Audrey Roloff are expecting their first baby, a significant life development that prompted the couple to move to Portland this month in order to be closer to their family.
With these relatives producing babies at a Duggar-like rate, Zach and Jeremy got together on Tuesday night’s episode of Little People, Big World and bonded.
Over their past as young brothers and over their futures as impending parents.
(When the episode was filmed, Tori had not yet given birth.)
“We used to be kids hanging out… then we’re husbands and wives hanging out… and now we’re entering this next season of parents hanging out,” Jeremy said, almost in shock, adding:
“I think we’re in that moment of realizing, ‘Wow. This is the last couple hangouts we’re going to have until we’re parents.’”
With the siblings entering the “same season of life together,” as Jeremy put it, he and Audrey were psyched to spend time time at Zach and Tori’s farm.
The quarter hung out at one point in the kitchen, laughing over the tiny pieces of baby clothing Tori had already picked out.
“I didn’t really think boys clothes would be this fun,” she said, talking specifically about an adorable little one-piece snowsuit.
Zach said he picked it out and Jeremy also expressed his fondness for it, but Tori mentioned one concern of hers
“The only thing is I’m afraid we’re not going to be able to use it that much because we’re going into summer,” she said, adding as a caveat:
But if he’s [a Little Person], though, he’ll get … a lot of use out of it.”
Have no fears, Jeremy told his sister-in-law, pointing at her large baby bump and saying, “there’s no LP in there.”
Jeremy later sat with his wife for a confessional and told the camera:
“There is reason to believe that their kiddo is going to be a dwarf. I don’t know what to think about that yet. That’s just crazy, even with Zach being a little person, that’s still really rare.”
It’s not really rare, however.
The odds of Zach and Tori’s child being born with achondroplasia, the most common form of dwarfism, was 50 percent.
And that’s what happened.
Speaking to People Magazine for its latest issue, Zach said Jackson is, indeed, a dwarf.
“You have to encourage a dwarf child a little more because it will take them five steps to do what others can do in two,” he explained to the publication.
“But I knew, dwarf or not, I was going to parent my child with the mentality that not everyone gets a trophy. You have to earn it.”
You’ve gotta admire that attitude, don’t you?
