Ariana Grande Returns Home, Finds Comfort in Family

Ariana Grande has touched down in Florida.

The day after a suicide bomber blew himself and 22 of Grande’s fans up inside Manchester Arena in England, the distraught singer was photographed landing in Boca Raton on Tuesday.

The artist grew up about half hour away in Coconut Creek, performing all around the Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale areas as a young child, prior to her career taking off once she signed with Nickelodeon.

According to The Daily Mail, Grande was greeted at the airport by members of her family and boyfriend Mac Miller.

As for what state Grande is in after her concert was used as the site for the deadliest mass murder in Great Britain since 2005?

Mac waited for Ariana at the bottom of the [private jet] stairs,” an insider told People Magazine, adding:

“She looked distraught and like she has been crying. They hugged for a while before they headed to a waiting car. Ariana’s mom Joan was with her.”

Shortly after news spread of what happened on Monday night, a representative confirmed that Grande was okay.

Physically, that is.

Mentally, the singer was clearly shaken up.

“Broken,” Grande tweeted late Monday, just hours after the attack. “From the bottom of my heart, I am so so sorry. I don’t have words.”

Toward the very end of Ariana’s concert, as fans were filing toward the exits, a bomber later identified as Salman Abedi detonated an explosive.

It took the lives off 22 attendees, including one as young as eight years old and an aunt who reportedly died while shielding her niece, and injured 59 others.

Police are investigating who else was connected to the incident, having already arrested a 23-year old in the wake of ISIS claiming responsibility for the attack.

“It’s so, so sad,” the same source tells People, emphasizing of Grande:

“She loves her fans and is absolutely crushed and devastated as you can imagine. She can’t believe this happened. She just wants to be with her family and loved ones right now.”

In the video below, you can see fans react in confusion in chaos not long after hearing a blast inside Manchester Arena:

The state of Grande’s Dangerous Woman Tour is irrelevant when compared to these fatalities, of course, but just as a matter of fact:

She has not officially canceled or even postponed future events, despite earlier reports.

The official Twitter account of London’s O2 Arena, where Grande is scheduled to take the stage on Thursday and Friday, says the status of those shows remains up in the air.

Simply for practical reasons, a decision will need to be made soon by Grande and her team.

Even if it’s the last thing on their minds right now.

“The focus is on the victims and grieving for them. We’re not focused on the tour,” the source tells People, clarifying that Ariana herself is “fine,” though “she’s just absolutely beside herself.”

We can only imagine.

Adds another insider to Us Weekly, echoing the sentiment above:

“Ariana is inconsolable. She’s absolutely heartbroken. She can’t believe this happened.

“She spent the night crying with her backup dancers and saying how much she adores her fans.”

On Tuesday, meanwhile, British Prime Minister Theresa May said her country’s terror threat level was rising from “severe” to “critical.”

There’s concern that another attack is imminent.

“I do not want to unduly alarm the members of the public,” May said from Downing Street, explaining:

“This morning, I said that the joint terrorism analysis center – the independent organization responsible for setting the threat level on the basis of the intelligence available – was keeping the threat level under constant review.”

We continue to send our condolences to all affected by this tragedy
