Kim Kardashian will not have the support of husband, Kanye West at this year’s MET Gala in New York.
“Kanye West will not be attending the MET Ball tomorrow,” the source says.
“Kim will be going solo. He’s still very much enjoying his time off from public events.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, we’ll school you on Kanye’s self-imposed exile from the public eye.
The poor guy broke down late last year, just weeks after Kim was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, France. Since his hospitalization, he has steered clear of the spotlight.
Now, it’s not uncommon for someone to want a break after a horrifying ordeal. Kim did just that after the horrible stuff that happened to her.
We’re sitting here wondering whether he will ever return. Could you imagine if Kanye never graced the MTV VMAs stage again?
He sure loves to throw some shade and start a conversation.
“He’ll be staying back in L.A. with their kids,” the source added. Maybe Kanye just wants to spend every minute with his kids.
“Everything is great with him and Kim, and he’s supportive of her going solo.”
Well, it’s not like Kim would have said no to the event. Despite Kanye staying at home, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star will have the support of her sisters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner.

She does not need Kanye to follow her around everywhere like a lost puppy. Not when she has her equally as glamorous sisters to have on each arm at the event.
Kim and Kanye have been regulars at the MET Gala ever since they made their debut as a couple there in 2013, so this does feel like a tradition is being broken.
Either way, we’re sure we can count on Kim to show off some amazing fashion. She’s slated to wear a design from Vivienne Westwood, so we’re excited to see the pictures.
