Eileen Davidson: I Quit The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!

Eileen Davidson is bidding farewell to the show that made her famous.

In a surprising decision that has taken the Internet by storm, the Bravo star announced her departure from The Real Housewife of Beverly Hills on Friday afternoon.

“After a lot of careful thought, I’ve decided because of my crazy schedules at ‘The Young and The Restless,’ as well as ‘Days of Our Lives,’ it’s best for me and my family if I step away from being a ‘Housewife’ for now,” Davidson said in a statement to TooFab.

She added of this unexpected choice:

“But you never know, I might be popping in from time to time just to see what the ladies are up to! Thanks for your love and support guys!!!”

Davidson debuted on the Bravo smash hit back in 2014.

She had been a regular cast member for three season.

To drive her point home, Davidson later went on Twitter and reiterated her stance, writing:

TRUE! Bcuz of my crazy sched @ yr & days I must step away from hw 4 now. But I might b popping in 2 see what the chix r up 2 Thx 4 the [love].

ED tweet

This announcement does at least solve a question that had been on the minds of those who watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online or on television each week.

After Camille Grammer Tweeted a photo of herself and other Real Housewives on Thursday night, many wondered why Davidson was not included.

We now have our answer, apparently.

The following snapshot features Grammer and Adrienne Maloof, alongside Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, Dorit Kemsley and an unknown blonde.

Previously, Eden Sassoon confirmed that she would not return to the program, either.

Over the years, Davidson…

… was the victim of a vicious wine toss to the face from Brandi Glanville.

… Was on the receiving end of an epic “You beast” taunt from Kim Richards.

… And engaged in a years-long rivalry with Lisa Vanderpump over the latter prying into Eileen’s dating history.

Bravo is yet to comment on this cast departure.

Filming on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 8 is underway, with Vanderpump, Rinna, Girardi and Dorit Kemsley all expected to play key roles.

The network has not yet announced a premiere date.

Will you miss Eileen Davidson? Was it time for her to go?

Will you still tune in this fall for new episodes?

Should anyone replace Davidson?

Sound off now!
