When it was first announced that Briana DeJesus would be joining the cast of Teen Mom 2, fans who were familiar with the former 16 and Pregnant star’s past knew that she would have no difficulty delivering the drama.
But the 23-year-old is exceeding expectations by stirring the pot both on camera and off.
The latest spectacle surrounding Briana has to do with the rumors that she’s dating Javi Marroquin.
Briana hooking up with Kailyn Lowry’s ex would result in major fireworks at the next reunion show, so it’s not hard to see why fans have been so eager to embrace the reports.
But this isn’t just some social media rumor run amok.
Viewers have been given real reason to believe that these two may be an item.
In a recent interview, for example, Javi said he would be open to dating Briana, and photos like this one have been making the rounds online lately:
Yes, that’s Briana and Javi getting close in a club while Bri’s sister sits nearby, looking very much like the third wheel.
Briana has been tight-lipped on the subject of her alleged romance with Javi, which has only increased fan speculation that they’re hooking up on the DL.
Earlier this week, however, DeJesus finally took to Twitter to clear things up:
“I’m not dating anyone nor do I have time toooooo let the rumors Rest In Peace pls,” she tweeted in obvious reference to Javi.
When a fan asked why she and Javi spent the weekend in New York together, Briana clarified that they were making a paid club appearance.
So apparently it was all business … though there may have been a bit of pleasure involved, too:
“It was actually a lot of fun,” she replied, adding:
“I did enjoy this weekend.”
Look, Briana is a single mother of two who just made her return to reality TV after a long hiatus.
So we believe her when she says she doesn’t have to time to date anyone these days.
But notice that she didn’t say anything about whether or not she would be open to hooking up with Javi.
Just sayin’.
