The Battles concluded on Tuesday night’s episode of The Voice, and that meant there was a lot of heartache for the people who were sent home.
With one last steal up for grabs, which contestant manage to switch teams after losing out on a spot in the team they wanted to be part of?
Let’s break down the final three battle performances of the season.
Team Blake: Adam Cunningham vs. Natalie Stovall – “Boondocks”
Adam and Natalie were two very seasoned performers when they auditioned, so this performance was always going to be a tough one to get through.
The reason being that they both deserve to be in the competition. Simply put, their voices are great, and they should not have to go against each other in this manner.
The performance was solid, and Blake noted that he was the only one with a steal left. But, he could not steal one of his own because that would be against the logistics of the steal.
Winner: Adam
Team Jennifer: Eric Lyn vs. Ignatious Carmouche – “Unaware”
Eric and Ignatious struggled when put together, and their voices sounded messy during the battle. For that reason, neither of them deserved to advance to the next stage.
In the end, Eric was saved, but it was a tough call, and we would not have liked to have been in Jennifer’s shoes.
Winner: Eric
Team Miley: Ashland Craft vs. Megan Rose – “A Good Hearted Woman”
Ashland was ready to wow Miley enough to keep her in the competition for longer, and she did so with an elegant routine that solidified her status as one of the best vocalists on the show.
While Megan is great in her own right, her performance was not up there with Ashland’s.But, with one steal still up for grabs, both of the women secured a small victory.
Winner: Ashland
Steal: Megan to Blake
With the Battle Rounds completed, it’s time for the Knockout Rounds, and that means the contestants will be whittled down like never before.
Who will make it to the live shows? You’ll have to tune in to find out!
