Kathy Griffin Retracts Apology for Decapitated Donald Trump Photo: What Did She Say?!?

We think it’s fair to say that Kathy Griffin’s career has hit a lull since her controversial photo shoot which involved her posing with Donald Trump’s decapitated head.

Despite there being a lot of naysayers about Donald Trump, a lot of them leaped to his defense when the image started doing the rounds all over the media earlier this year.

In short, it was a terrible thing to do, and Kathy lost out on a lot as a result of it. She was fired from her hosting gig on CNN, and her tour was canceled because the sheer amount of hate being sent towards her.

But what did she really expect to happen when she posed with the decapitated head of the President of the United States? Kathy realized very quickly what she lost and released a video apologizing.

I sincerely apologize,” she said in the clip at the time.

“I am just now seeing the reaction [to] these images. I’m a comic. I cross the line. I move the line, then I cross it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. It wasn’t funny. I get it.”

Everyone makes mistakes, so some were likely happy that the comedian came out and owned up to her mistake. So, color us surprised to find out that she is now taking her apology back.

Speaking with Austalia’s Sunrise, the disgraced comedian wasted no time and cut straight to the chase when the topic came up.

“I’m no longer sorry,” she boldly declared in the interview.

“The whole outrage was BS. The whole thing got so blown out of proportion.”

Now, some people definitely did take their hate to extreme measures by sending death threats to the star, but you would think it’s something Kathy would like to draw a line under.

Instead, she seems dead set on making some money out of it as other avenues are probably drying up right about now.

Griffin then went on to name and shame some of the people who turned against her in the aftermath.

“I lost everybody,” she said.

“I had Chelsea Clinton tweeting against me. I had friends, Debra Messing from Will & Grace, tweeting against me. I lost everybody.”

“I have been through the mill, and I didn’t just lose one night on CNN,” she continued. “These Trump fans, they’re hardcore.”

The show’s anchor Samantha Armytage then noted that Clinton and Messing are not Trump supporters while trying to get Griffin to agree she was wrong.

“Even Democrats said it was out of line,” she said.

“I get that comedy is about pushing the boundaries and being politically incorrect, and that’s fine. But do you not agree that that picture, holding up a severed head, I know it’s a mask covered in tomato sauce, but do you not accept that that was a little bit over the line?”

“No, you’re full of crap,” Griffin responded, before taking aim once again at Donald Trump.

“Stop acting like my little picture is more important than talking about the actual atrocities that the president of the united states is committing.”

Um, WHAT?

That’s all we can muster after that.

What do you think about it?

Tyler Shields: No Apologies Here for Decapitated Donald Trump Video!

While Kathy Griffin has been raked over every conceivable coal since starring in a video that featured her pretending to behead Donald Trump, the man behind this controversial video has gone relatively unscathed.

His name is Tyler Shields.

He’s a photographer known for shooting controversial subjects and/or topics, but he’s never stepped into a fire quite like this before.

As you’ve likely read about and probably complained about already, Griffin sky-rocketed to viral infamy on Tuesday night when she shared footage on Twitter of herself holding the bloody, decapitated head of the Commander-in-Chief.

“There was blood coming out of his eyes, blood coming out of his…wherever,” wrote the comedian as a caption to the video.

But no one was laughing.

Democrats lashed out at Griffin for going too far and giving Republicans understandable ammunition with which they could attack Donald Trump critics.

Republicans lashed out because… well… Griffin is holding bloody, decapitated head of the Commander-in-Chief.

What the heck was she thinking?!?

In response to the overwhelming backlash, Griffin issued an apology just a few hours after the (VERY) questionable video went viral.

And the mea culpa at least did not make any excuses or beat around any bushes.

She came right out, took responsibility and continually said she messed up.

“I beg for your forgiveness. I went too far,” Griffin says below, adding:

“I moved the line, and then I crossed it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people.”

Griffin has still been fired by CNN and dropped from an ad campaign, but at least she has realized her mistake.

Shields? Not so much.

Shortly after the firestorm got started, he Tweeted, “Can you go to jail for making an artistic statement? Asking for a friend…”

The answer to that short-sighted statement is no, of course.

But you can go to jail for threatening the life of a sitting President, and this stupid photo shoot comes pretty darn close to doing that.

As a result, Griffin is under investigation by the Secret Service, according to various sources.

kg tweets

Is Shields concerned about authorities coming after him? Does he have any regrets over the pictorial?

It sure doesn’t sound that way.

Speaking to Splash News last night, after a shopping trip at a supermarket in Los Angeles, Shields was asked for his response to the Trump video and everyone’s take on it.

“The thing is, man, honestly, I’ve got no problem… if you make art, you’ve gotta stand by it,” he said, adding:

“Can’t censor myself, man.”

Shields wasn’t clear on whether he’s spoken to Griffin since the controversy arose, but he was very clear on his immediate plans:

“I’m just gonna just go home and eat my ice dream and hide out,” he said the end this interview.

Shields is clearly pretty chill about this entire thing.

Which is more than can be said about the President himself.

“Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself,” Trump Tweeted in response to the video.

“My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!”

For the first time in recorded history, we can’t disagree with Donald Trump. He’s right.

Kathy Griffin"s Gory Photo of Decapitated Trump Focus of Secret Service Investigation (VIDEO)

Kathy Griffin may have been joking when she posed with what looked like the bloody head of Donald Trump, but the Secret Service isn’t laughing.  Law enforcement sources tell us the Secret Service has launched an investigation into “the…

10-Year Old Decapitated in Water Slide Accident, Police Confirm

We have an update on the tragic story of Caleb Schwab.

As previously reported, Schwab was killed on Sunday while riding the Verruckt, a water slide at Schlitterbahn Water Park in Kansas.

The ride has been dubbed the World’s Tallest Water Slide in existence by the Guinness Book of World Records, with its name translating from German to mean “insane.”

Caleb was the 10-year old son of Kansas lawmaker Scott Schwab, who issued a heartfelt statement about his child soon after this horrific accident took place.

“Since the day he was born, he brought abundant joy to our family and all those he came in contact with,” wrote Scott and his wife, Michelle, adding:

“As we try to mend our home with him no longer with us, we are comforted knowing he believed in our Savior Jesus, and they are forever together now.

“We will see him another day.”

Now, two days after this tragedy, further details have emerged.

And they paint an extremely sad and grotesque picture.

Officials have confirmed that Caleb died from a fatal neck injury, with multiple outlets reporting the child was decapitated.

A witness named Esteban Castaneda  tells ABC News that he heard a “boom” coming from the ride and then saw a raft come through.

“Immediately after the raft … you see a body,” Castaneda said.

The ride typically holds two to three people per raft and Castaneda said two women were in this specific raft, with blood all over them.

Castaneda has not been interviewed by police.

But he said he started to run toward the situation when a lifeguard told him there was “nothing” he could do.

And that was when he saw Caleb’s body lying in the water at the base of the slide.

The two other women in his raft, who were not related to Caleb, suffered minor injuries, police said.

Since this horrible incident went viral, we’ve learned that Verruckt’s scheduled 2014 opening was delayed numerous times due to glitches, including one issue that caused water rafts to fly off the slide and into the air.

In this case, another witness (named Kelsey Friedrichsen, who was on her way up the slide when the commotion began below her) told People Magazine of Caleb’s death:

“It looked like he must have somehow been ejected from his seat, bounced around between the netting and the slide and just slid down.

“He would have fallen down without the raft. It’s kind of like a tube.”

Schlitterbahn officials say all rides are inspected daily prior to opening.

The Verrückt ride is closed, but the park is tentatively scheduled to reopen on Wednesday.

A memorial service for Caleb will be held Friday afternoon.

“We had many issues on the engineering side,” Jeff Henry, Verruckt creator and Schlitterbahn co-owner told USA Today, two years ago.

“A lot of our math was based on roller coasters at first, and that didn’t translate to a water slide like this. No one had ever done anything like this before…

“It’s dangerous, but it’s a safe dangerous now.

“Schlitterbahn is a family water park, but this isn’t a family ride. It’s for thrill seekers of the world, people into extreme adventure.”
