Kathryn Dennis Reacts in Shock to Ashley Jacobs Apology
Earlier this week, Southern Charm star Ashley Jacobs took most of the Internet by surprise when she issued an apology to Kathryn Dennis.
The Bravo stars had gone back and forth for most of this show’s fifth season, with their feud mostly based on the fact that both had slept with awful lead cast member Thomas Ravenel.
Dennis is actually the mother of Ravenel’s two young children, atlhough she was only his “egg donor,” according to one of Jacobs’ insults from this last batch of new episodes.
Ashley has also accused Dennis in the past of being on drugs and of being a terrible mother whose kids see more of their father’s girlfriend (Jacobs, at that time) than they do of their own mom.
Pretty heinous stuff all around.
So… how did Dennis respond after when Jacobs penned a lengthy Instagram mea culpa that said she owes all Southern Charms fans, but especially “Kathryn in particular” an apology?
By basically laughing in her rival’s face, that’s how.
In a video shared to her Instagram Story page, fellow Southern Charm star Danni Bird gave followers a look at Dennis’ response today.
You can see in the footage that Denis is shocked by Ashley’s post, reading out loud, for instance, how Jacobs claimed she “learned a tremendous lesson” and responding:
“This lesson? That’s a tremendous word for you!”
Dennis also reacted to Jacobs’ conclusion of the apology, which read:
“I can’t rightfully describe how sorry I am, but I’d never forgive myself if I didn’t at least try. Yours Truly, Ashley.”
“Yours Truly?!?” Dennis says. “She’s writing this to nobody.”
That’s not exactly a very personal way to sign something, it’s true.
But Jacobs does go on in detail about how out of line she was to call out a parent for, well, anything.
It’s a role to which the child-less Ashley cannot relate.
“After many chats with my friends and family with children, I never understood the unbreakable bond a parent has with their child,” the 33-year-old wrote in her message, adding:
“I can listen and learn and be more respectful in the future but until I’m blessed with a child, I can never truly understand the sacrifices a parent makes on behalf of their children.”
This could be a load of BS.
But it’s some fairly well written BS.
The letter, however, is addressed to Ashley’s fans, not to Dennis herself, prompting another priceless response from Kathryn:
“Are you kidding me?”
Jacobs, meanwhile, broke up with Ravenel last week, perhaps finally seeing the light after he had been accused of rape by two women.
This split came a day after Ravenel quit Southern Charm, taking no responsibility at all for his actions in the process.
“I crossed a line and hurt people who don’t deserve it,” Jacobs said in her apology, seemingly coming across as serious.
But not to the main person who she was trying to appease.
“Do you think somewhere a village is missing its idiot?” Bird replied while reading Jacobs’ note, eliciting a laugh from Dennis.
Kathryn also re-shared a still from Bird’s video and captioned it “@dannibird for real?” with laughing emojis.
Yeah. We somehow doubt she and Jacobs will be meeting for coffee any time soon.

Rachel Lindsay: If Becca Kufrin Picks Garrett, She Owes The World an Apology!!
If you follow The Bachelorette Spoilers, you already know who Becca Kufrin picks. If not … you must be on the edge of your seat with worry.
Major concerns are that Becca will choose Garrett Yrigoyen, whose bigoted social media history was exposed … but after the finale was filmed.
Well, Rachel Lindsay is no stranger to being Bachelorette or to having a bigoted suitor. And she has some advice for Becca if Garrett is her man.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay has advice for Becca — if she should choose Garrett as her fiance.
“I want to hear more than just an apology,” Rachel says, speaking for a large swathe of the Bachelor Nation.
Garrett apologized for his hateful posts, but a lot of fans felt that he was just sorry that he was caught.
Rachel explains that an apology isn’t enough: “I want to hear an explanation.”
If Becca does choose Garrett — who was one to watch from the first day and who has now made it to the very end — Becca won’t want this cloud hanging over her engagement.
“They have to talk about it,” Rachel advises.
Rachel talks about why Becca, in particular, will need to explain why she’s engaged to Garrett — especially after Becca defended Garrett.
“Becca’s a liberal,” Rachel points out. “And the things he was liking were very conservative, far right.”
Rachel thinks better of her words and corrects her characterization of the content that Garrett was enjoying on Instagram.
Rachel adds that it was “more than conservative [and] a little offensive.”
As multiple bloggers commented when it first broke the news, the material that Garrett seemed to love so much transcended party lines.
“So,” Rachel says. “I think they need to address it now.”
You don’t want this kind of thing to follow you to your wedding day. Assuming that Becca makes it that far with whichever new man she chooses.
Rachel says that Becca should step up “and have a game plan of how they’re going to face the media.”
“People will read through the BS,” Rachel warns.
So she cautions them: “Don’t try to cover it up and put a Band-Aid on it.”
“Just say what you did, why you did it,” Rachel advises. “People will forgive you.”
Rachel even delves into how she would address the situation if Bryan Abasolo had been exposed as a bigot.
“[I would handle it] probably the same way I did with Lee,” Rachel says.
Lee was, of course, a contestant on her season. She was the franchise’s first-ever black Bachelorette, and Lee … well, Lee was racist.
“I addressed it,” Rachel reminds the world. “I said, ‘If you need a history lesson, I can give you one backstage.’ That’s how I would deal with it.”
Of course, Lee absolutely did not make it to the end of Rachel’s season. Garrett is another story.
Rachel says that, if she were in Becca’s shos, “I would have to address it head-on and I’d be pretty tough about it.”
People had a lot of concerns about Rachel Lindsay’s own choice last year.
As you may recall, she picked Bryan Abasolo, whom many people perceived as a liar who would say whatever she wanted to hear, over Peter Kraus.
But Rachel and Bryan are still together and seem happy. Sometimes, people do know what’s best for themselves.
Perhaps Becca sees something in Garrett that the rest of us, who have known for quite a while what sort of man he is beneath the surface, do not.
But … regardless, they’re going to need to face this head-on.

Miley Cyrus Retracts Nude Photo Apology, Curses Off Critics
At this stage of her life and career, Miley Cyrus can simulate oral sex on a carrot and spank the Easter Bunny and pretty much no one cares.
That’s just how the singer rolls sometimes.
But let’s take a trip back to 2008, shall we?
A full decade ago, photographer Annie Leibovitz shot a then-15-year-old Miley for Vanity Fair.
And forget Kim Kardashian sticking her butt out in order to rest a glass of champagne on it, THIS picture nearly broke the Internet, considering it featured a very young Cyrus naked.
She was covered by a sheet, but she was fully naked underneath said sheet.
For someone not yet old enough to drive, and someone mostly known at that point for starring on The Disney Channel, this was a jarring image.
See it for yourself below:
And we know what you must be thinking right now:
What? Huh? That picture caused controversy?!?
Cyrus has gotten nude quite a few times since!
It’s true, we know.
But this was 2008. The world was not ready to see Cyrus in such brazen fashion, especially not a 15-year old Cyrus.
“I had a big blanket on. And I thought, ‘This looks pretty, and really natural,"” she told the magazine at the time. “I think it’s really artsy.”
Later on, however, once the backlash really grew intense, Miley issued a different kind of statement.
She said the following as a Mea Culpa:
My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy.
For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed.
I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.
In a separate statement, Leibovitz said:
“I’m sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted. Miley and I looked at fashion photographs together and we discussed the picture in that context before we shot it… I think it is very beautiful.”
So of all that provides context to Miley’s latest Tweet, which she wrote 10 years after this scandal exploded and which explains how she now feels about the topic:
Including the front page of The New York Post from April 2008, under the headline “MILEY’S SHAME,” Cyrus has retracted the above apology.
“IM NOT SORRY. F–k YOU. #10yearsago,” she wrote.
Cyrus Miley had last addressed the scandalous shoot in 2015.
“Our world revolves around sex. Like, when I did this photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz when I was 14 or 15, everyone jumped to make it this sexual thing,” she told Time Magazine, adding:
“But I never thought of it as sexual. Annie never thought of taking a sexual photo of a teenager. But everyone made it something it wasn’t.”
All these years later, we do understand a lot of the criticism this snapshot produced.
Miley was just so young and the world was not ready to see her as anything but Hannah Montana, let alone as someone willing to pose in such a manner.
But now that we’ve seen what Miley does with a foam finger?
It’s safe to say we’ve been seeing Cyrus in a brand new light for awhile now and we’re very used to it and very cool with it.

Sean Hannity to Jimmy Kimmel: I Accept Your Forced Apology! Come on My Show!
After making some jokes that many viewed as homophobic, Jimmy Kimmel has apologized to the LGBT+ community.
And it appears that he"s trying to quash his long-running beef with Sean Hannity at the same time. And, as the video below shows, it may have worked.
Hannity appears to have accepted Kimmel"s apology — even though he calls it "forced" — and he"s even inviting Kimmel to his show.
After rehashing the back-and-forth that"s been going on between himself and Kimmel, Hannity says this of Kimmel"s apology:
"On the surface, to be honest, it feels more like a forced Disney corporate apology directed more towards the LBGTQ community rather than about Kimmel’s comments about the first lady."
He seems to be pretending to say "LGBTQ" awkwardly, as if he doesn"t read that acronym all of the time as part of his job, but whatever. His viewers will eat that up.
Hannity continues, saying:
"I believe everyone should accept apologies, that’s how I was raised, that’s what my religion teaches me, and I’m going to assume he’s sincere."
"But, from my perspective, I do really kind of enjoy a good fight, and I do agree with Jimmy in the sense that it’s time to move on."
Of course, Hannity knows where his bread is buttered, so he naturally pivots to a familiar topic for Trump fans.
"For me, it was never about Hannity vs. Jimmy Kimmel. It’s a lot bigger than that for me."
The man who once blasted Obama for ordering "fancy" mustard thinks that the media is being unfair to Trump. Honestly, that"s wild.
"Just the level of hatred, vitriol against this president and his family is frankly unprecedented, as we"ve been talking about all night tonight."
He also refers to "the media" as "wholly an extension of the Democratic Party," which is almost funny for a few reasons, saying:
"What"s even worse, we have this corrupt media industrial complex. We see it all working tonight."
Uh-huh.
Hannity then decides to extend and invitation.
"You seem sincere when you talk about healthcare. You seem sincere when you talk about the country."
Kimmel certainly is. The healthcare issue really touches him, as he"d never be able to afford care for his son if he weren"t rich.
"I want to extend an invitation. You wanna come on the show, I"ll promise: no name-calling, no anger."
That will be incredibly off-brand for Hannity. Also, it implies that he can reign in his anger.
"No rehashing of the Twitter fight. You want to have a serious discussion. We can talk about the President, his policies, healthcare, comedy, political correctness. …"
That would be … interesting.
As you may recall, Jimmy Kimmel and Sean Hannity have had some back-and-forth banter.
Hannity is sometimes regarded as the "last man standing" among long-running, big-name conservative mouthpieces at Fox News.
Kimmel has his late-night talk show on NBC and, like many Americans, blows off steam by poking fun at the endless three-ring circus known as the Trump Administration.
However, Kimmel sometimes would poke fun at Melania"s accent, something that many feel should be off-limits. She never asked to be First Lady, after all.
This sparked a crude back-and-forth between Hannity and Kimmel.
The very back-and-forth that escalated, with Kimmel"s jokes becoming homophobic and Hannity comparing Kimmel to an alleged rapist. Yikes.
When Kimmel suggested that Hannity and Trump were in a sexual relationship, he certainly intended for it to inflame and embarrass Hannity, who is not exactly known as a friend of the LGBT+ community.
But the results are homophobic. Calling someone gay to upset them is pretty blatantly homophobic, regardless of your intentions.
So it"s good that Jimmy apologized.
For the record, though, Sean Hannity used Jimmy Kimmel"s appearance on that gross and sexist The Man Show (and yes, it was, even at the time) to compare him to Harvey Weinstein.
Those women on that show signed up to be there. That"s a far cry from, you know, the women who accuse Harvey Weinstein of harassing, threatening, and raping them.
One worries that Hannity doesn"t understand the distinction between gross behavior (for a television role) that has been unlearned and unforgivable acts of predation.
Will he accept Hannity"s invitation? Some would wonder what the point could be. Hannity"s politics speak for themselves. Anyone still watching his show isn"t likely to be swayed.
The only likely result is the normalization of Hannity"s radically pro-Trump views and an undeserved ratings boost for Hannity.
Kind of hard to see what Kimmel has to gain from that. But he might go for it.
It"s worth noting that Hannity also threatens to further embarrass Kimmel if the latter decides to reignite their feud.
He apparently tasked producers to come up with, we"re guessing, a lot of dumb statements and awkward moments of him goggling at women on The Man Show.
Like Hannity, I agree that it would be nice to see fewer people take shots at Barron Trump, Melania Trump, and things like Trump"s typically American diet.
(I"m a guy who eats kale-and-chicken burgers when I "get a burger," but if someone wants to eat a bucket of KFC or whatever, more power to them)
There are so many totally fair targets for ridicule. For example, almost everything else about Donald Trump.
