Lee Daniels had an “Empire” viewing party Wednesday night at his NYC loft, and Mariah Carey watched the show in a fur-laced hammock.   

Mariah took advantage of a new court ruling, allowing us all to sing Happy Birthday to anyone we want. In this case, she sang it to Lee Daniels’ producing partner on the Richard Pryor flick. Maxwell accompanied her on the piano. 

Lee had a bunch of celebs, including some of his guest stars, including Marisa Tomei. Also on hand, Whoopi Goldberg, Robert De Niro‘s wife, Grace, and Lee’s mom.
