Might Bruce Jenner have been the unsung hero of Keeping up with the Kardashians?
The transgender star, now known as Caitlyn Jenner of course, no longer appears on his family’s reality show. And look at what has subsequently happened to the program’s ratings.
According Nielson, the return of Keeping Up with the Kardashians last month only brought in 1.9 million viewers, a drastic drop off from the 2.5 million the series had averaged during its previous run.
What might this mean for the future of E!’s flagship reality show?
Probably not much.
Looking ahead, those who watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online will see Kylie Jenner and Tyga go public with their relationship, a storyline expected to result in a major ratings boost.
There’s also been talk that Kris Jenner wants to marry boyfriend Corey Gamble on the Season 11 finale.
The couple has not been together for very long, but this is Kris Jenner we’re talking about. Since when do real feelings trump the chance to make more money?
An insider has told Radar Online that Kris told her kids “that having [the wedding] as an episode of the show is an extremely lucrative idea.”
And then imagine how she can cash in on the future divorce episodes?!?
Yeah. Keeping up with the Kardashians is never going away.
