Lucy Hale: Slammed for Fat-Shaming Herself!
Lucy Hale is a very successful young actress who is coming off a lengthy stint on Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars.
The star has been very open about her personal life and the things she went through in her younger years, but fans are less than impressed with a recent comment she made on Instagram.
The actress uploaded a picture of herself with her father in honor of Father’s Day. She’s not the only celebrity who took to social media to celebrate the day, but she probably caused the most controversy.
“You taught me to have soul. I love you daddy,” Hale captioned the below picture.
Now, it seems like an innocent enough post, but it’s what Lucy wrote in the comments after posting it that caused all of the drama.
“Ugh, I was so fat,” she shared.
It certainly seems like a bizarre statement to make, especially considering the fact most of her fans are young girls.
One commenter said, “Oh great, just what we need. Women with celebrity status body shaming themselves and therefore thousands of girls who are of normal weight. Good grief.”
“@lucyhale this is fat? What an unhealthy mentality,” said another.
There were some fans who seemed genuinely concerned for the star after her comment.
“Lucy, you are beautiful, don’t ever think you look fat, you’re the most beautiful person i’ve ever seen, inside & out,” one fan began, before concluding, “Don’t think that about yourself, you’re better than that, we love you Lucy, and your beautiful body.”
Another fan decided to educate people on eating disorders while stressing that people should not be attacking Lucy during this time.
“I’ve been struggling with anorexia my entire life. A lot of these comments are really missing the point and targeting your character when your character shouldn’t even be in question,” the lengthy post begins.
“As a person who knows what it’s like to look at pictures from three years ago, and even three months ago, I know how often I regard that girl as ‘fat.’ More often than not I call the girl in the mirror that, too.”
“I really hope you know your worth as a person, and I’m sure you do. You didn’t ask for it, but you’re someone that people look up to. I’m just sorry that some of them don’t understand the disease. Take care, Lucy. I’ll always think you’re beautiful.”
Lucy was candid about her eating disorder in an interview with Cosmopolitan in 2012, saying: “I’ve never really talked about this, but I would go days without eating. Or maybe I’d have some fruit and then go to the gym for three hours. I knew I had a problem… It was a gradual process, but I changed myself.”

Lucy Hale Topless Photos Leak; Actress Responds in Anger
Like so many others, Lucy Hale has now been given a reason to hate hard on 2016.
Not because of who the country just elected President.
And not because of all the celebrity deaths that have left Hollywood shaken over the past several months.
But because Hale recently became the latest woman to have her privacy violated on the Internet.
A morally-questionable celebrity gossip website, Celeb Jihad, shared photos online of the Pretty Little Liars star without a shirt on.
For whom were these topless images intended? That question isn’t important.
What’s important is that someone stole them from Hale and released them for public viewing.
According to TMZ , Hale’s attorney, Marty Singer, sent an angry letter to the website demanding that the pictures be removed… or a lawsuit would be filed.
There were a total of two racy photos obtained and leaked by the site, both of which depicted Hale’s breasts and nipples, including a tattoo on one of the actress’ boobs.
They were meant for a friend and some moron hacked into Hale’s phone to illegally acquire them.
To her credit, Hale has responded to this incident with both pride and venom.
She’s pissed off, but she isn’t ashamed.
“Once again, a woman in the public eye was violated, stolen from and her private life and body were exposed for anyone to see,” Hale wrote in response on Thursday, expounding as follows:
“I will not apologize for living my life and having a personal life that is all mine. It’s truly unfortunate that being exposed in this way is allowed.”
The 27-year-old actress went on to thank fans for their support, concluding with a pointed message at “whoever” is responsible for the photo leak.
“Thank you for all the sweet, supportive messages I’ve been receiving.
“It was a much needed reminder that I’m surrounded by so much love. I appreciate you all very much. And to whoever did this…kiss my ass.”

Over the past couple years, stars such as Scarlett Johansson, Gabrielle Union, Kate Upton, and Leslie Jones have seen their privacy violated in this same disgusting manner.
Just a few weeks, Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams was forced to address her own nude photo leak.
It’s really a huge shame, isn’t it?
People can really suck a lot, can’t they?
Fortunately, young actresses such as Hale and Williams are here to remind us that people can also be resilient and strong in the face of stupid, horny, mean-spirited hackers.
Hale and her Pretty Little Liars colleagues, meanwhile, will start to say goodbye on April 18, 2017.
On that date, the series returns to kick off its final run of episodes. Ever.
We’re sad to see it go, but we’re happy to think that Hale will stick around for many years afterward.
She’s a young, talented, strong and pretty actress. And she can sing! We’re big fans.

Lucy Hale Goes Blonde: Is She Still a Pretty Little Liar?
Those who watch Pretty Little Liars online may be in for a surprise down the line.
Because Lucy Hale suddenly looks very, very different.
The young actress has decided to find out whether or not blondes really do have more fun, as stylist Kristin Ess took to Instagram today in order to share a photo of a lightened-up Hale with the caption:
“Going blonder by the minute with @lucyhale and swapping faces with @kdeenihan on snap.”
Hale may have simply been in the mood to change up her appearance, of course, but we wonder whether this semi-drastic dye job is an attempt by the star to distance herself from those Selena Gomez comparisons.
“There was a phase growing up, people thought I was Selena Gomez,” Hale told The Talk panelists this week.
“During the time she started dating Justin Bieber, they would try to take my phone to see if I was texting Justin Bieber.
“And I’m like, ‘I’ll try to take a picture with you to make your dreams come true if you think I’m Selena, but I am not."”
Hale also made headlines a few days ago when she hinted very strongly that Pretty Little Liars will end after Season 7.
“We’ve been doing it for six years,” Hale said while speaking to James Corden. “I’ve literally spent my 20s on the show, and I think all good things must come to an end.”
The beautiful star added that she hopes the series concludes in “tragic” fashion.
