Dance Moms Season 7 Episode 13 Recap: Who Won At Nationals?
Abby Lee Miller and her group made it to Nationals, but did they manage to eke out a victory over Cathy and the Candy Apples?
That was their plan on Dance Moms Season 7 Episode 13 which turned out to be one of the craziest episodes of the entire series.
When the episode got underway, Abby was emotional at just how much change there had been over the years at the ALDC over the years.
On top of that, she worried about the prospect of letting someone else teach her girls if she did find herself locked up.
The dance teacher then handed out solos to Lilliana, Elliana, Kalani and Brynn.
This did nothing to put Jamie’s mind at ease as she worried whether her daughter was going to be allowed to dance.
As you probably know if you watch Dance Moms online, there has been a lot of tension between Abby and Jamie because of the way Maesi has been treated.
The other moms were not impressed that their daughters never got to have a solo performance, but what did they expect?
It’s not like Abby could hand out additional solos and change the rules at Nationals.
While the mothers continued to bicker, Abby revealed to Lilliana that her father would be singing the vocals for the song she would be dancing to.
The kid was ecstatic, but her mother was nervous that this meant Elliana’s song would be put on the sidelines.
Cathy returned with the Candy Apples and was just as despicable as before. She had someone named Zach on the team, who she thought would give her team the edge.
All she seemed to care about was sending Abby off to prison with a loss. Yes, she apparently does not care about her team.
Abby then changed up the group number and had all of the dancers die at the end of it. Yes, the mothers were not impressed with it.
Everyone took a break from rehearsals to attend Kendall’s big music video debut. However, Abby was not impressed and did not think it was the best route for her to take.
Her mother claimed that Abby was just jealous she did not have a say in her career anymore.
The next morning, Abby revealed that she had to let go of her studio and had no idea what would become of her.
Cathy arrives at Nationals and knocks down the ALDC sign and tells everyone aside from Kalani to go home. Yes, she’s still pathetic and bitter.
Abby tells her to leave, and that’s when Cathy throws the only ammunition she can at her nemesis: jail time.
All of the performances were solid. Even the Candy Apples managed to turn in a fabulous number.
Elliana won second place, Lilliana won first place in the junior competition, while Brynn won third place and Kalani won first.
The ALDC also took top honors in the group competition.
The Candy Apples started another war, but Chloe and Christi walked in.
Will they be allowed to return on a more permanent basis?

Dance Moms Season 7 Episode 11 Recap: Who Made It To Nationals?
Did everyone get the green light to go to Nationals?
That was one of the more pressing questions on Dance Moms Season 7 Episode 11 as everyone worried they would be cut at the final hurdle.
When the episode got underway, the moms were voicing their concerns at the latest group number and whether it would really be able to showcase the team.
Abby decided to spend most of her time with the younger girls and even got a choreographer in to help the older girls.
As you probably know if you watch Dance Moms online, the moms lashed out.
Jamie implied that she was better than everyone there, prompting Abby to question whether the ALDC is the best place for Maesi.
It is a bit crazy that Jamie is being put on the spot.
She and her daughter were bullied pretty much from the get-go and that’s part of the reason why they are both going to extremes with their comments.
Meanwhile, Kendall realized she would need to focus on her own career and try to make a life outside of the ALDC because, well, anything could happen.
Abby was not amused about the fact a lot of her dancers went to support Kendall, taking away from the rehearsal time they were all complaining about.
Back at the ALDC, Abby worried about whether Elliana would really be able to ace the competition.
Her mother decided that Elliana lost confidence somewhere along the way.
But Abby did not hold back in an explosive rant about how the kid had a bad attitude.
Elliana could not keep it together and turned to her mother, but when her mother comforted her, she lashed out at her.
It was horrible, but it showed that Abby is trying to have the best team possible for Nationals, as opposed to going in with people who can’t take a bit of constructive feedback.
On the day of the competition, Abby decided to try help each of the solo performers out, but you could tell they did not really like being helped by Abby.
They were over it.
Elliana, surprisingly, aced her competition and Abby gave credit were credit was due for the performance.
The same could not be said for Maesi’s performance.
It was great and it was met with strong praise, but Abby seemed to think it was best to trash her.
It was horrible, so Jamie decided enough was enough and took her daughter home.
Did this mean they were out of the ALDC? We’ll need to tune in next week to find out.
The final drama from the night stemmed from who would be making it to nationals.
This was met with a stern response from Abby who said, “look for your invitation in the mail.”
Does she still think it’s the 1980s, or something? I guess we’ll get to see everyone opening their mail on next week’s episode.
Who do you want to make it to Nationals?

Dance Moms Season 7 Episode 9 Recap: Is Abby Lee Miller Ready for Nationals?
There’s always that one person who manages to put a negative spin on something positive. For Dance Moms fans, that person is Abby Lee Miller and pretty much all of the ALDC is getting tired of her.
When Dance Moms Season 7 Episode 9 got underway, the gals of the ALDC were celebrating their most recent win, but Abby was busy picking out the flaws in the performances.
She felt Camryn and Kendall were good enough at the group performance, so they got off without having Abby trashing them.
Abby told the girls they would be attending Dream Dance Competition and Abby handed solos to Lilliana and Brynn both got a solo, while the other girls would play sister wives in the group number.
All of the mothers were shocked to learn that the kids would be sharing the same husband in the performance, but ALM does not give a damn what others think.
The mothers seemed even more annoyed when a new dancer, Jane, showed up with her mother, Nancy. Abby paired her up against Brynn to find out just how well the girl could dance.
As the moms sat on the sidelines, rehearsals got underway, but Abby felt that Maesi did not fit into the performance and decided it would be best to remove her.
However, Jamie leapt to her daughter’s defense, but it fell on deaf ears. The worst thing anybody can do is try to imply they know better than ALM.
We all know just how annoyed she can get with people. That’s sort of what she does.
Abby was so desperate for Jane to fit in that she was getting close to making changes to the competition to give the kid some more prominence, but Nancy said that her daughter could dance better than Brynn.
I mean, Nancy and Jane were just in the door a few minutes and they got ready to cause trouble pretty much off the bat. Brynn’s mother took offense and started arguing with Nancy.
Abby then decided to give Maesi a solo because she impressed her during early rehearsals. Her performance would be a hip-hop number.
However, that’s the type of performance that cost Abby a win a few weeks ago, so it should be intriguing to find out how this one plays out.
There was a lot of drama early on because Maesi forgot her routine, but Jamie claimed that her daughter was yet to eat for the day and that’s part of the reason.
With Jamie crying, Abby looked on in horror. Was she about to take the solo back?
The performances all went without a hitch and Abby was smiling from ear-to-ear throughout.
At the awards, Maesi, surprisingly, managed to beat out Brynn. The ALDC came in first place for the group number, but Abby decided that Jane did not make the cut for the team.
Her reason?
Jane did not do anything better than any of the other ladies, so her place was taken away. We are getting so close to nations now and Abby wants the best team she can have.
What did you think of all the drama?
Was Abby right to get rid of Jane?
