Mike Sorrentino Marries Lauren Pesce!

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino may be headed to prison.

But this Jersey Shore mainstay made a rather and romantic important stop on the way to the clink:

We’re talking about the altar!

As difficult as it may have been to believe just a few years ago, The Situation is now a married man.

This former heavy drinker and fist pumper exchanged vows on Thursday with Lauren Pesce at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey.

Those in attendance included many well-known names to long-time fans of Jersey Shore and its ongoing reboot:

Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Deena Nicole Cortese, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio and Vinny Guadagnino were among the guests.

Sources have even confirmed that Farley and Polizzi’s four-year-old daughters, Meilani and Giovanna, served as flower girls.

And, yes, Ortiz-Magro’s on-off girlfriend, Jen Harley, was also there with the couple’s six-month-old daughter, Ariana.

As far as we know, she didn’t assault a single person during the ceremony or reception.

“We are so incredibly excited to begin our journey as husband and wife!” Sorrentino and Pesce told Us Weekly, adding just a couple hours ago:

“We are each other’s best friend and together we can handle anything.

“Thank you to all our family, friends and fans who have supported us every step of the way.

“Gym, Tan, Laurens is the new GTL! With Love, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Sorrentino.”

Sorrentino popped the big question to Pesce on Valentine’s Day when she visited him in Miami while filming season 2 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

He spoke to producers ahead of time about his plan to do so.

“I let them know, ‘Listen I really want to do this. This show is really special to me,” The Situation explained in April, adding at the time:

“This is the show that introduced me to the world. It was really special for me to do this, to get down on one knee on Jersey Shore.”

The newlyweds have a challenging several months ahead of them now.

On January 15, Sorrentino will begin an eight-month prison sentence after he and his brother, Marc, were indicted in September of 2014 for tax offenses and conspiring to defraud the United States.

They were accused of failing to properly pay taxes on $ 8.9 million in income from 2010 to 2012.

In April of 2017, both siblings were indicted on additional charges including tax evasion, structuring and falsifying records.

Then, earlier this year, Sorrentino pled guilty to one count of tax evasion and was sentenced to his jail stint on October 5.

“He just wants to get his time done, come home and start his life over,” an insider tells Us Weekly.

“The wedding has been a great distraction for him. He really wants to spend as much time as he can with her before she leaves.”

We send our best wishes to the new husband and wife and we commend them on the greatest hastag any couple has ever come up with for a wedding.

Indeed, folks, guests who posted about these nuptials on social media did so by writing about… you can guess it, right?

Mike Sorrentino to Lauren Pesce: Let"s Hurry and Get Married Before I Go to Jail!

Well, he’s living up to his nickname more than ever these days, because Mike Sorrentino is stuck in a seriously complex situation.

If you watched Jersey Shore Family Vacation this season, you know that Mike proposed to Lauren Pesce, she said yes, and plans are already in place to populate the tri-state area with dozens of mini-Sitches.

Unfortunately, there’s a minor roadblock standing in the way of Mike and Lauren’s domestic bliss.

When the focus briefly shifted from Ronnie’s never-ending emotional meltdown, JSFV also reminded us that Sorrentino is facing prison time for tax evasion.

While Mike has gone to great lengths to clean up his act in the years since his legal entanglement began, it’s unlikely that he’ll be able to avoid prison time.

Which means, of course, that he and Lauren don’t have the luxury of a long engagement.

“They are working out the exact date now, as well as the location for the wedding and venue for the reception,” a source close to the couple tells Radar Online.

Mike is scheduled to be sentenced on September 7, and his lawyers have reportedly informed him that he should be prepared to serve at least two years behind bars.

Fortunately, Lauren says she’s willing to wait for Mike for as long as she needs to.

“They are both hoping for leniency. But it does not matter to Lauren how long he has to go to prison,” the insider says.

“She will stand by him no matter what. She will be visiting him in prison as often as she is allowed.

Even though Mike might not begin serving his sentence until several months after he’s sentenced, he and Lauren are planning to tie the knot this summer, just to be safe.

The original plan was for Sorrentino and Pesce to tie the knot on the second season of JSFW, but a rushed production. schedule put the kibosh on that plan.

But don’t worry, unlike past Shore weddings, the entire guido crew will be in attendance, and most of Mike’s castmates will be a part of the wedding party.

(We’re guessing Ronnie was the only one left out.)

Insiders say Mike and Lauren hope to spend at least four months living as man and wife before his sentence begins.

And of course, they’ll be hard at work making those little mini-Situations.

As difficult as Mike’s current situation is, those who know him best say he’s never been happier — and they credit Lauren with saving his life.

“Everyone is just so proud of Mike for getting sober Opens a New Window. , and are just as close with Lauren as they are with him,” says thee source.

The Situation: ENGAGED to Lauren Pesce!

If you’ve been watching Jersey Shore Family Vacation, you may have found that you barely recognize the closest thing the show had to a villain in its initial iteration.

We’re talking, of course, about Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

When the guidos and guidettes first descended upon Seaside Heights, New Jersey back in 2009, the Sitch represented the very worst of what they had to offer.

A creature of pure ego and appetite, Sorrentino provided a lot of ammo for critics of the show’s perceived negative impact on our culture.

While his roommates certainly liked to drink, party and hookup, Mike took all of those behaviors to their most harmful extremes by being disrespectful toward women and descending into addiction.

These days Sorrentino is facing jail time for tax evasion, but the silver lining to his – ahem – situation is that

Mike is now two years sober, and as we learned following last night’s episode of Shore, he recently got engaged to longtime girlfriend Lauren Pesce.

The 35-year-old posted the above photo to his Instagram page Thursday night, along with a caption reading (of course):

“GYM TAN WE’RE ENGAGED!!”

Say what you will about the man, he’s certainly not letting go of those catchphrases.

It’s obviously an exciting time for Mike and Lauren, but there are some dark clouds looming on the horizon.

Sorrentino has yet to be sentenced for allegedly failing to pay taxes on millions in earnings.

Which means, of course, that he and Lauren might have to either push their big day back a couple years, or begin their time as husband and wife in two very different living situations.

Whatever happens, fans are obviously very happy for Mike and in perhaps the most testament to the fact that the man really has changed, is roommates are thrilled for the Sitch as well.

Jenni “JWoww” Farley, who’s been Mike’s most frequent companion on JSFV, has described him as a changed man “and the best version of himself.”

From JWoww’s lips to the sentencing judge’s ears.

Our sincere congrats go out to Mike and Lauren, and we wish them both all the best going forward.
