Mike Sorrentino Marries Lauren Pesce!

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino may be headed to prison.

But this Jersey Shore mainstay made a rather and romantic important stop on the way to the clink:

We’re talking about the altar!

As difficult as it may have been to believe just a few years ago, The Situation is now a married man.

This former heavy drinker and fist pumper exchanged vows on Thursday with Lauren Pesce at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey.

Those in attendance included many well-known names to long-time fans of Jersey Shore and its ongoing reboot:

Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Deena Nicole Cortese, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio and Vinny Guadagnino were among the guests.

Sources have even confirmed that Farley and Polizzi’s four-year-old daughters, Meilani and Giovanna, served as flower girls.

And, yes, Ortiz-Magro’s on-off girlfriend, Jen Harley, was also there with the couple’s six-month-old daughter, Ariana.

As far as we know, she didn’t assault a single person during the ceremony or reception.

“We are so incredibly excited to begin our journey as husband and wife!” Sorrentino and Pesce told Us Weekly, adding just a couple hours ago:

“We are each other’s best friend and together we can handle anything.

“Thank you to all our family, friends and fans who have supported us every step of the way.

“Gym, Tan, Laurens is the new GTL! With Love, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Sorrentino.”

Sorrentino popped the big question to Pesce on Valentine’s Day when she visited him in Miami while filming season 2 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

He spoke to producers ahead of time about his plan to do so.

“I let them know, ‘Listen I really want to do this. This show is really special to me,” The Situation explained in April, adding at the time:

“This is the show that introduced me to the world. It was really special for me to do this, to get down on one knee on Jersey Shore.”

The newlyweds have a challenging several months ahead of them now.

On January 15, Sorrentino will begin an eight-month prison sentence after he and his brother, Marc, were indicted in September of 2014 for tax offenses and conspiring to defraud the United States.

They were accused of failing to properly pay taxes on $ 8.9 million in income from 2010 to 2012.

In April of 2017, both siblings were indicted on additional charges including tax evasion, structuring and falsifying records.

Then, earlier this year, Sorrentino pled guilty to one count of tax evasion and was sentenced to his jail stint on October 5.

“He just wants to get his time done, come home and start his life over,” an insider tells Us Weekly.

“The wedding has been a great distraction for him. He really wants to spend as much time as he can with her before she leaves.”

We send our best wishes to the new husband and wife and we commend them on the greatest hastag any couple has ever come up with for a wedding.

Indeed, folks, guests who posted about these nuptials on social media did so by writing about… you can guess it, right?

Mike Sorrentino Begs Judge For Leniency, Receives Prison Time Anyway

It’s a sad day for Jersey Shore star and reality TV icon Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

As we reported earlier, Sorrentino has been sentenced to eight months in prison in connection with a string of legal troubles that began back in 2014.

At that time, Mike and his older brother Marc were indicted for failure to pay taxes on $ 8.9 million in earnings.

Additionally, the brothers were accused of covering up their crimes by filing false tax returns in connection to Mike’s business ventures.

In April of 2017, Mike was hit with additional charges of tax evasion and structuring funds to avoid currency transaction reports.

Under the terms of his plea deal, Sorrentino was only forced to plead guilty to one count of tax evasion, but that proved to be enough to land him behind bars.

Mike’s attorneys argued that he played a minimal role in the financial conspiracy masterminded by his brother (who has already been sentenced to two years in prison).

They also noted that Sorrentino has worked hard to overcome the substance abuse issues that plagued him as a young adult.

Speaking on his own behalf, Sorrentino made a heartfelt plea for leniency that ultimately fell on deaf ears.

“I am deeply sorry. I will forever regret the decisions I made,” he told the court.

“I overcame my demons in 34 months,” Sorrentino added.

“I was in almost a full year of treatment. I lost everything in a short period of time. I was immature. Everything came overnight.”

Sorrentino joked that he “doesn’t even speed anymore” before listing the ways in which he’s served his community over the course of the past three years.

“I have a new team of professionals helping me. I work at two rehabs to share my story,” he said.

“I volunteer at the police department. I warn kids of the dangers of substance abuse. I want to continue to be a positive role model in my community.”

But despite Mike’s obvious remorse, his good works, and the endorsement of his Shore castmates — all of whom were present in the courtroom today — the judge denied Sorrentino’s request for probation and a fine and his only penalties.

In addition to jail time, Mike will be forced to serve 500 hours of community service and pay a $ 10,000 fine within 30 days.

He has already paid $ 123,913 in restitution.

There’s no word yet on when Mike will begin serving his sentence, but it currently looks as though he will not be appearing in the planned third season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

Mike Sorrentino Prays For Leniency Ahead of Tax Fraud Sentencing

Tonight, millions of Americans will tune in to see their favorite gang of guidos return to their original stomping ground as Jersey Shore Family Vacation relocates to Seaside Heights.

And tomorrow morning, one of those hard-partying fist-pumpers will go before a judge and learn his fate.

Yes, as you may recall, Mike Sorrentino pled guilty to tax fraud back in January.

Under the terms of his plea deal, the Situation faces five years in prison and up to $ 250,000 in fines.

Sorrentino is due to be sentenced at 11:30 on Friday morning.

Legal experts who have followed the case say it’s unlikely that he’ll receive the full five year maximum — but he’ll almost certainly do some jail time.

Back in February of 2014, Mike and his brother Marc were indicted for failing to pay taxes on $ 8.9 million in earnings.

They were accused of covering up their crimes by filing false tax returns in connection to Mike’s business ventures.

Mike was hit with additional charges of tax evasion and structuring funds to avoid currency transaction reports in April of 2017.

He pled guilty to one such charge as part of his plea deal, with the understanding that doing so would likely land him behind bars.

Needless to say, Sorrentino has quite a bit working against him.

But there’s also a lot that might help him in the eyes of a sentencing judge.

Mike entered rehab and got sober back in 2015, and he got engaged to Lauren Pesce in April.

The Sitch has been on his best behavior on the current season of Shore, and you can bet his lawyers will remind the judge of the many ways in which he’s turned his life around.

In the days leading up to his sentencing Mike, has celebrated his sobriety and prayed for a beneficial resolution to his legal woes.

“God grant me the serenity to stop beating myself up for not doing things perfectly,” Sorrentino tweeted this week.

Sorrentino is due to marry Pesce in November, but no matter what happens tomorrow, he won’t immediately be taken into custody, so prison shouldn’t interfere with those plans.

Our thoughts go out to Mike and his family during this intensely stressful time.

Mike Sorrentino to Lauren Pesce: Let"s Hurry and Get Married Before I Go to Jail!

Well, he’s living up to his nickname more than ever these days, because Mike Sorrentino is stuck in a seriously complex situation.

If you watched Jersey Shore Family Vacation this season, you know that Mike proposed to Lauren Pesce, she said yes, and plans are already in place to populate the tri-state area with dozens of mini-Sitches.

Unfortunately, there’s a minor roadblock standing in the way of Mike and Lauren’s domestic bliss.

When the focus briefly shifted from Ronnie’s never-ending emotional meltdown, JSFV also reminded us that Sorrentino is facing prison time for tax evasion.

While Mike has gone to great lengths to clean up his act in the years since his legal entanglement began, it’s unlikely that he’ll be able to avoid prison time.

Which means, of course, that he and Lauren don’t have the luxury of a long engagement.

“They are working out the exact date now, as well as the location for the wedding and venue for the reception,” a source close to the couple tells Radar Online.

Mike is scheduled to be sentenced on September 7, and his lawyers have reportedly informed him that he should be prepared to serve at least two years behind bars.

Fortunately, Lauren says she’s willing to wait for Mike for as long as she needs to.

“They are both hoping for leniency. But it does not matter to Lauren how long he has to go to prison,” the insider says.

“She will stand by him no matter what. She will be visiting him in prison as often as she is allowed.

Even though Mike might not begin serving his sentence until several months after he’s sentenced, he and Lauren are planning to tie the knot this summer, just to be safe.

The original plan was for Sorrentino and Pesce to tie the knot on the second season of JSFW, but a rushed production. schedule put the kibosh on that plan.

But don’t worry, unlike past Shore weddings, the entire guido crew will be in attendance, and most of Mike’s castmates will be a part of the wedding party.

(We’re guessing Ronnie was the only one left out.)

Insiders say Mike and Lauren hope to spend at least four months living as man and wife before his sentence begins.

And of course, they’ll be hard at work making those little mini-Situations.

As difficult as Mike’s current situation is, those who know him best say he’s never been happier — and they credit Lauren with saving his life.

“Everyone is just so proud of Mike for getting sober Opens a New Window. , and are just as close with Lauren as they are with him,” says thee source.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino Pleads Guilty to Tax Fraud, Faces 15 Years Behind Bars

We’ve got quite a situation here, folks.

Just as the Jersey Shore cast is reuniting for a second shot at reality TV stardom, one of the show’s most infamous figures may be headed to jail for a very long time.

But hey, at least he’ll have plenty of time to work on those famous abs.

Back in April of 2017, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was charged with tax fraud alongside his brother and business partner, Marc Sorrentino.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six, The Sitch has pled guilty “not paying all federal income tax owed on approximately $ 8.9 million … earned between 2010 and 2012.”

And it seems that Mike didn’t simply forget to dot the I’s and cross the T’s on his 1040:

“They also stand accused of commingling their business and personal bank accounts so that they could get away with spending the money on ‘high-end luxury vehicles and clothing,’” a source close to the case claims.

Mike also stands accused of making “multiple cash deposits on the same day in amounts less than $ 10,000, into different bank accounts that he controlled” in an effort to avoid reporting his earnings to the IRS.

Mike and Marc were first offered the plea deal on December 19 but rejected it due to the lengthy amount of time they might spend behind bars.

It seems Mike is facing 15 years in prison, while his brother might be put away for a whopping 25 years.

Legal experts say it’s unlikely that they’ll receive the maximum sentence, but note that some jail time seems inevitable.

Last year, the Sorrentinos appeared on Marriage Boot Camp (they really need to fix that title), where they discussed the charges against them and admitted to being fearful of going to prison.

Interestingly, Mike is not the first Garden State-based reality star to be convicted of tax fraud in recent years.

Real Housewives of New Jersey regular Teresa Giudice served 15 months in prison on similar charges back in 2015.

Her husband, Joe Giudice, is currently serving 4 years behind bars.

There’s no word yet on whether or not Mike will be able to appear in the upcoming Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

Which is a shame, because it certainly sounds like he could use the cash!

Farrah Abraham Clashes With Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino! Watch!

Some of our younger readers might not remember Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino from his time on Jersey Shore, but trust us when we say he laid the groundwork for future reality TV psychopaths … like Farrah Abraham.

Don"t get us wrong, Farrah has taken the role much further than Mike ever dreamed, but it was Sorrentino who first made us believe that mental illness could be entertaining.

He paved the way for future Farrah"s narcisstic personality disorder, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

The Sitch was basically the Woody Guthrie to Farrah"s Bob Dylan, which is another reference that makes us sound super old.

So why are we subjecting you to our geriatric ramblings about a show reality star no one has cared about for the better part of a decade?

Well, Farrah is starring in the new season of Marriage Boot Camp, and the show also features Mike and his two brothers.

We assume producers got a tax write-off for sheltering the Sorrentinos for six weeks.

Anyway, despite the title, the show has nothing to do with marriage this season, and is instead focusing on family dysfunction.

And despite the fact that Farrah is abusive to her parents and generally treats them like dog sh-t, they still defend her every chance they get.

So for that reason, when one of Mike"s brothers brings up Farrah"s porn past, her dad does that thing where he gets out of his chair like he wants to fight even though that never ends well for him.

Check out the clip below to watch Farrah"s parents clash with Mike"s brother the sort of ill-conceived crossover that brings to mind the time the Flinstones met the Jetsons.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino: Headed to Prison For Tax Evasion?!

It’s been a long time since the general public actually cared about what the cast of Jersey Shore is up to, but remarkably, the Seaside Heights gang appears to be holding up pretty well post-fame.

Well, most of them are, anyway.

While Snooki, Vinny and the rest have carved out careers for themselves doing podcasts and appearing at “Hey, remember this guy?” conventions, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino hasn’t fared quite as well.

The Sitch still makes the occasional headline these days, but it’s never for anything good.

In fact, when we see his name these days, it’s usually because Sorrentino was arrested again.

Most recently, Mike was locked up for his involvement in some sort of tanning salon melee, which is either the most appropriate or most ironic arrest in history.

We can’t decide.

But it was the arrest prior to that that’s still giving Mike legal headaches, and it could wind up landing him behind bars of a very long time.

Mike was busted for tax fraud back in 2014, and it seems he still hasn’t sorted the issue out with the feds.

Today, TMZ is reporting that Mike is still facing decades behind bars for tax evasion.

The IRS claims that Sorrentino conspired with his brother (who’s also facing jail time) to conceal a significant portion of the $ 8.9 million that Mike made between 2010 and 2012.

Yes, the freakin’ Situation made $ 8.9 million in two years.

And you thought today’s political news was depressing!

Anyway, far from backing down and working out a restitution plan, the U.S. Attorney in New Jersey is going hard on Sorrentino, adding a handful of new charges this week.

Mike now faces allegations of tax evasion, as well as structuring and falsifying records to avoid detection of assets.

Prosecutors maintain that the Sorrentino brothers filed false income tax returns and made fraudulent deductions.

No trial date has been set, but it sounds like Mike may soon have quite the situation on his hands.

Hey, at least if he goes to prison he’ll have plenty of time to work on his abs.

And that’s it.

We’ve exhausted out supply of The Situation jokes.

If you’re keeping score at home, there were exactly two.

Any more than that would require remembering more about The Situation than his stupid nickname and ab obsession and frankly, we can’t spare the brain real estate.
