Prince: Cocaine Habit Revealed in 911 Call?

It’s been almost two weeks since Prince unexpectedly passed away at his home in Minnesota, and we still have no definitive answers about the cause of the music legend’s death.

Sadly, there’s mounting evidence that suggests the legendary singer/songwriter may have been battling addiction in his final days.

First, several source stated that Prince overdosed on Percocet in the days leading up to his death, forcing his private jet to make an emergency landing so that EMTs could restart the 57-year-old’s heart.

Shortly thereafter, authorities confirmed that Percocet tablets were found both on Prince’s body and throughout his home.

None of that confirms that he was abusing the medication or that that it played any role in his death, but it the reports do suggest that Prince was reliant upon heavy doses of potent drugs to help offset the impact of decades of physically-demanding performances.

Now, TMZ is reporting that Percocet may not have been the only drug that Prince was using on a regular basis.

An insider at the Carver County Sheriff’s Department tells the website that a concerned friend made an emergency call in 2011 claiming to be concerned about Prince’s cocaine habit.

The caller claimed that Prince had recently told her he “can’t control his habit” and feared for his life.

Law enforcement officials reportedly made a record of the call, but determined that they had legal grounds to intervene.

The source also revealed that Prince was hospitalized in 2013 for what his reps called “dehydration.”

Prince’s autopsy was completed last week, but it may be quite some time before the toxicology and coroner’s reports are made public.

We’ll have further updates on this story as more information becomes available.

Kelly Ripa Finally Tells Viewers That Michael Strahan is Leaving Early

The most entertaining/awkward show on television these days did not fail to disappoint this morning.

On the latest installment of Live with Kelly and Michael, the co-hosts finally decided to tell viewers that Michael Strahan will be leaving the program on May 13.

When Strahan initially announced he was departing Live! for a full-time anchoring gig on Good Morning America, he had set September as his end date.

But then Ripa got angry over how she was told of the news… staged a brief boycott… returned with a speech about “respect” in the work place… and Strahan’s departure date was moved up four months.

There was a statement by ABC and everything, yet Kelly and Michael didn’t actually address Strahan’s impending final episode until today.

And it went down in very awkward fashion, of course.

“A week from this Friday is Michael’s final show here at Live!,” said Ripa, as the audience began booing.

One attendee then shouted “we still love you, Kelly!” and Ripa quipped:

“Thanks! I’m still here!”

She’s very broken up about Strahan’s switching programs, as you can tell.

As for what viewers can expect from Michael’s last episode?

“We’ll remember. We’ll reminisce,” he said. “We’re going to look back at the fun times we’ve had together – wait till you see all the stuff that we’ve done, you’re not going to believe it.”

Most loyal fans can’t believe the recent report that ran down all the ways in which Strahan sucks backstage.

“Join us for Michael’s Flashback Friday Farewell on Friday the 13th,” Ripa said, prior to cracking up over the ominous date and adding:

“You can’t plan this! You literally cannot plan it.”

That’s actually exacted what ABC executives did. They planned the date on which Strahan would leave. But whatever.

Strahan, meanwhile, attended the MET Gala in New York City on Monday night.

Asked by Entertainment Tonight about his upcoming gig, he said all the right things about his soon-to-be-formed one:

“I’m looking forward to [GMA], but I still look forward to going to work at Live!. I love being there. I still love it.”

Really, Michael? Even during exchanges such as the one below?

Sharna Burgess Suffers Nip Slip on Dancing With The Stars, Recovers Like a Champ

Oh hell, there goes her top.

On last night"s episode of Dancing With The Stars, eight teams continued to fight for the mirror ball trophy and avoid double-elimination.

The night"s theme was "Icons," where each team performed routines to songs by legendary American artists.

Sharna Burgess and NFL star Antonio Brown danced to The Rolling Stones" "Paint It Black," and all was going well until one of the girls tried to sneak out of Burgess" costume.

As judge Len Goodman was listing off Brown"s mistakes during the dance, host Tom Bergeron interrupted during the east coast live broadcast to let everyone know that Burgess was in the middle of a wardrobe malfunction.

It was terribly awkward, the way Bergeron handled the situation.

"They said to me, "Look at Sharna"s top,"" Bergeron announced.

Burgess was a great sport, and laughed when Bergeron told her about the nip slip.

"I"m only doing the producer"s bidding.

"Pull it up, just a touch, just for the family," Bergeron told Burgess as he blocked her so that she could readjust.

After the girls were back in place, Burgess joked that she deserved a score of 10.

The pro dancer continued to joke about the malfunction on Twitter, tweeting with others and laughing about what had happened.

Hey, you had a nip slip.  It happens.

It"s like that time on Friends when Rachel Green"s boob fell out of her Bloomingdale"s chemise during dinner with Joshua and his parents.

"it"s alright. I"ve got nice boobs," Rachel said.
