Earlier this year, Hailey Baldwin dared to date Justin Bieber, and it wasn’t an easy position to be in.
Bieber fans refuse to give up hope that their idol will one day reunite with Selena Gomez, and anyone who gets in the way of that will be a target.
And because the peanut gallery constantly positions SelGo as a threat, surely any girlfriend of the Biebs must hate her.
Naturally, rumors of Baldwin feuding with Gomez made the rounds.
Just last month, Celeb Dirty Laundry speculated that Hailey claimed Bieber was her bae despite rumors of a reconciliation between him and his ex.
But the model has opened up to Us Weekly to address her true feelings about the “Hands to Myself” singer.
“I think it sucks that people try to start things like that,” she told the publication. “There’s never any truth to that, first of all.”
“She’s a lovely girl,” she said of the songstress. “She’s very kind.”
“Her and I have a lot of mutual friends and it’s all cool between everybody,” she added. “We run in the same circles.”
And when you run in the same circles, sometimes you wind up dating the same people.
It happens.
Baldwin admitted that dating Bieber was tough during an interview earlier this year with Marie Claire.
“Texts started coming through, crazy phone calls…it’s hard to date somebody in this industry,” she said, adding. “You have to have really thick skin and be very strong.”
“You have to focus on the person and nothing else.”
