Anne Hathaway Empowers Women with Positive Body Image Message

Anne Hathaway is officially the anti-Kim Kardashian.

Because she hasn’t starred in a sex tape? No.

Well… yes.

But the real reason we’re making this point is because Hathaway just shared an important message with women around the world.

And it’s the sort of thing Kardashian would never, ever, ever, ever, EVER say.

The Oscar winner, who gave birth to her first child in March, shared a photo on her social media account this week of a pair of cut-up denim jeans.

For what possible reason?!?

Allow her to explain…

“There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever),” she wrote, adding:

“There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all).”

We can’t help but stop here and bring up Kardashian once again by asking:

Can you imagine her sending along the same message?

Kim has spent nearly every social media post since she gave birth talking about how she ABSOLUTELY NEEDS to shed her baby weight.

Is it alright for a new mother to have this goal? To want to feel better about her figure? Of course.

But it’s not alright for someone as influential as Kim Kardashian (it’s depressing, but true) to make it seem like such a priority.

It sets a very poor example.

Hathaway, meanwhile, is taking the opposite approach.

“There is no shame in finally breaking down and making your own jean shorts because last summer’s are just too dang short for this summer’s thighs,” the mother of one explained  of the above picture.

“Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It’s all love (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.)”

Thank you, Anne! Preach on!

Back in May, Hathaway threw a bit of shade at Kim Kardashian as well.

At the time, the actress shared a version of a popular meme on Instagram, one that urged folks to be different “in a world of Kardashians.”

She added “In a world of Kardashians … Be a Helena Bonham Carter” to the meme.

In other words: in a world where people without character or talent can be so famous, try to be someone who has character and talent.

Hathaway welcomed her son Jonathan Rosebanks with husband Adam Shulman (pictured below) in March.

We hope the little guy appreciates his awesome mother.

With one Instagram post, Hathaway just empowered women more than Kim Kardashian ever has.

Buffy Honors "Brave Friend" Brenda Walsh, "90s Fans Everywhere Weep

Sarah Michelle Gellar made a declaration of love for her friend, Shannen Doherty who is currently battling breast cancer.

“My #mondaymuse (and really every day #muse) is my brave friend @theshando,” Gellear wrote on Instagram.

“I’ve always said she is one of the most loyal friends I’ve ever known, and now while she is facing the toughest journey of her life, she is sharing it with friends she has never met in the hopes of helping other people who are going through the same struggle. That’s a true friend #FuckCancer.”

The two women certainly made their mark on ’90s pop culture; Gellar played the title role on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, while Doherty will always be remembered as the headstrong, lovesick-over-Dylan Brenda Walsh on Beverly Hills, 90210.

Over the weekend, Doherty shared an update with fans on chemotherapy, which anyone who has gone through knows can kick the absolute crap out of a patient.

“Each persons cancer journey is different,” she shared via Instagram.

“For me, chemo has been terrible and believe me, we have tried almost everything. So days like this have become a bit of the norm. I’m learning that it’s ok to fall into bed and give in to the exhaustion or nausea or aches.”

Last week, Doherty told Entertainment Tonight’s Jennifer Peros that the breast cancer has spread since her March 2015 diagnosis.

Doherty is suing her former management company for failing to pay her health insurance premiums, which prevented the star from getting an earlier diagnosis.

“The unknown is always the scariest part,” Doherty told Peros “Is the chemo going to work? Is the radiation going to work? You know, am I going to have to go through this again, or am I going to get secondary cancer?” she wondered.

Doherty said she could handle the pain and living without a breast, but what she’s finding hard to handle is not knowing what the future will bring, and how her future “is going to affect” her loved ones.

Right now, Doherty is doing all she can to raise awareness.  She’s drawing strength from reading stories of others going through the same thing,

“It’s easier to live with having cancer if I know I helped at least one person.”

Dwayne Johnson Hits Out at Fast 8 Co-Stars in Epic Rant!

Dwayne Johnson is not someone to be messed with.

The star has always been one to speak his mind when the opportunity arises.

If you thought the cast of Fast 8 got on swimmingly, it’s now clearer than ever that they most certainly do not

Johnson took to both Instagram and Facebook to hit out at some of his male co-stars in a surprising rant.

“This is my final week of shooting Fast & Furious 8. There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. Universal Studios Entertainment has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em.”

That sounds pretty nice. Right?!

It’s the next part of the post that had alarm bells ringing.

“My male co-stars however are a different story,” he went on.

“Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken sh*t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling — you’re right.”

Okay then.

“Bottom line is it’ll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that’s embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part. Final week on FAST 8 and I will finish strong. #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses.”

It’s unclear exactly which of his male co-stars he is referring to, but the post is really surprising.

Throughout production on the previous movies, the cast and crew seemed like a close-knit family.

Dwayne Johnson Rips Fast 8 Male Co-Stars

What could have changed this time round?

This is the first movie in the franchise without Paul Walker in it.

Walker was killed in a freak car accident while production on Furious 7 was underway.

Of the new additions to the cast this time round, Scott Eastwood is probably the most notable.

Could this be about him?

We’ll probably never know the answer, but it’ll be interesting to watch the movie to witness just how annoyed Johnson was during production.

If his acting is really that off in some of the scenes, there’s a good chance they won’t make the final cut.

What do you think about all of this?
