Arrow Season 6 Episode 12 Recap: All For Nothing

The Grim Reaper came calling on Arrow Season 6 Episode 12, but did a character worth caring about die?

When the episode got underway, Cayden James continued to tighten his grip on the residents of Star City.

He had control of most of the city, and not even A.R.G.U.S. managed to help take the villains down.

Oliver and Thea conferred about what the best course of action would be to save as many people as possible.

The best course of action, it seemed, was to create bomb shelters to give the citizens a place to hide if the unthinkable happened.

Oliver and Diggle worked together with the aim of taking down Vigilante, but then Renew Curtis dropped the bomb that Vince was a good egg.

This gave Team Arrow a glimmer of hope as Felicity came to the conclusion that Vince could plant a technological device in in Cayden’s lair to give the details about the mobile bomb.

While Oliver was against using Vince because he’s been doing lots of sketchy things for over a year now, he realized there was no other way, and he had to roll with it.

In an unsurprising turn of events, Vince was caught in action. He thought he fooled his way out of it, but Cayden and Anatoly later captured him.

Dinah was adamant to save Vince because they go way back, and all that jazz. The team could hear him being tortured. Oliver did not want to save Vince because the bomb needed taking care of, but Curtis and Rene stepped up to the challenge.

Just when Dinah caught up with Vince, an explosion lit up the whole venue, and Dinah was left trapped. That’s when Black Siren appeared in all of her villainous glory.

She seemed against killing Vince, but she did so right after Cayden told her, solidifying herself as a villain.

Dinah was mad because she failed to save her man, and that he mostly died for nothing. Felicity found out that the same people who released the picture of Oliver as Arrow edited the video of Oliver killing Cayden’s son.

With this latest twist, Team Arrow is more divided than ever, and Dinah is determined to take down all of those who were involved in the drama in Star City.

Given that Black Siren hesitated, is it fair to assume that she’s thinking of to the good side?

That could be fun because Dinah is not ready to forgive her and will probably want to kill her.

Selena Gomez Just Completed a Stint in Rehab

Selena Gomez is thinking about more than just her libido these days.

Fans have been concerned about the singer for several weeks now, worried that she’s only back together with Justin Bieber because she can’t resist his charm, his handsome face and his well-sculpted body.

But it’s now been made clear that Gomez has a lot more on her mind than merely jumping back into bed with her ex.

She also has her mind on her mind.

E! News has confirmed the surprising news that the beloved artist and actress recently completed a two-week treatment program for depression and anxiety.

Did anyone else know she had been in rehab for half of January?!?

This was unexpected news to us when we first read it.

“She had a difficult year, especially towards the end, and she decided she wanted to spend some time focusing on herself,” a source told E! News about Selena’s decision, adding:

“It was all about wellness and her health.”

We most certainly admire Gomez for taking this step and for putting her mental health above all else.

The singer canceled part of her “Revival” tour in the summer of 2016 to check into rehab as well.

She later told Teen Vogue that her “self-esteem was shot” at the time.

How was this possible when she was so incredibly popular back then?

“As soon as I became the most followed person on Instagram, I sort of freaked out,” she explained. “It had become so consuming to me. It’s what I woke up to and went to sleep to. I was an addict.”

So she spent 90 days under the care of a therapist, away from the public spotlight.

“You have no idea how incredible it felt to just be with six girls, real people who couldn’t give two shits about who I was, who were fighting for their lives,” Gomez said to the magazine, concluding early last year:

“It was one of the hardest things I’ve done, but it was the best thing I’ve done.”

An insider tells Us Weekly that Selena has the same reaction so far to her latest rehab stint.

“It’s about physical, mental wellness and clean eating,” this tabloid reports. “She feels great.”

Gomez broke up with The Weeknd in the fall of 2017 and then quickly got back into a relationship with Bieber.

This cause major tension between Selena and her mother, who remains worried that Justin is not good for her daughter.

It’s hard to blame anyone close to Gomez for thinking this, considering all the young stars have been through as a couple and also as ex-lovers.

Neither Gomez nor Bieber has spoken out much about the rekindled romance, but sources have said they are attending church together and even couples therapy.

They really do want to get it right this time around.

“She doesn’t want to slip back to where she was ever,” the Us Weekly source adds. “She always wants to be proactive.”

For the record, we can now confirm Gomez sought professional help last month in New York City.

Bieber was apparently aware of her choice to do so and completed supported his girlfriend in this endeavor.

Concludes the E! insider of these stars, who were spotted together again this week in Los Angeles, looking pretty darn happy:

“Everyone around them knows how much they mean to each other and they are truly on a great path together.”

Let’s hope so.

And let’s all band together to wish Selena Gomez the best of luck in her ongoing journey to mental health and happiness.

She deserves it.

Grey"s Anatomy Season 14 Episode 11 Recap: (Don"t Fear) the Reaper

Miranda Bailey is the glue that keeps all of the characters together on Grey’s Anatomy.

During Grey’s Anatomy Season 14 Episode 11, the character found herself at death’s door multiple times.

When the episode got underway, all was right in the world of Miranda. She was dropping her kid off at school, driving to work with Ben, and she was still very much against Ben’s new job.

ICYMI: Ben is heading to the new Grey’s Anatomy spinoff, Station 19. Thus, he will be a firefighter in the original series.

Miranda has struggled with this because she is worried that he goes to work and does not come home. It makes sense, right?

Just when Ben started talking about his day, Miranda checked out and ordered Ben to let her out of the vehicle.

It was bizarre, but we quickly found out the exact reason for her behavior. She made her way to another hospital with symptoms of a heart attack.

If you watch Grey’s Anatomy online, you will already know that Bailey is one of the best in her field, so she knew what she was was right.

Nobody seemed to want to agree that she was taking a heart attack and kept ushering her out of the way.

Then, Dr. Maxwell appeared and wanted to rule it as a mental issue as opposed to a physical issue and ordered a psychiatrist.

Bailey then decided enough was enough and told Maggie to visit her because she needed help.

Maggie arrived, along with Richard who knew there was something wrong because Bailey had never taken a day off.

Fresh off saving the life of the patient next to her, Bailey collapsed. This was confirmation enough for Dr. Maxwell.

After the blockage in her artery was dealt with, Bailey’s pressure started dropping, and it emerged that the deluded Dr. Maxwell had failed to order some follow-up treatment.

Maggie had had enough and demanded to be allowed to perform the surgery. Maxwell agreed because what else could he do?

Bailey realized it was time to let Ben in and she got Maggie to call him. Ben made a run straight to the hospital.

Bailey survived her ordeal, and in the aftermath, Ben said he had quit his new job. Bailey admitted that her stance had changed on it.

Life is too precious to waste doing anything less than what makes us happy,” she said to her lover.

Peppered throughout the hour were flashbacks of Bailey growing up and the struggle she faced moving out of her home.

Her mother was always worried about Bailey getting in trouble, and that was because her sister died at just two months old.

It was a poignant episode that was great at educating the audience about heart attacks.

What did you think of it?

Sound off below!

Grey’s Anatomy continues next Thursday on ABC.
