Last week, rumors that Kailyn Lowry is pregnant with Javi Marroquin’s baby began to circulate on social media.
The fact that Kail didn’t immediately deny the reports only added fuel to the fire.
Now, Lowry is finally addressing the fan theory that she’s secretly knocked up – but she’s doing so in an unusual fashion.
Normally, Kailyn would go straight to the source and speak out against the rumors on social media.
Interestingly, however, she decided to go the official route this time, setting the record straight with a pair of official statements.
First, Kailyn replied to a Radar Online query about her pregnancy with a simple “no.”
Reps followed that up by issuing statements to several media outlets reading:
“It’s completely fabricated.”
The unusually formal way in which Kail addressed these rumors has raised a lot of eyebrows.
Some have taken it as an indication that she might be misleading fans.
We doubt that’s the case, but we do think this may signal the start of a chance in how Kailyn interacts with Teen Mom 2 viewers.
In the past, she’s happily engaged with fans and haters alike, but her most recent experience seems to have left a bad taste in her mouth.
Perhaps it was the way so many casually speculated on what they perceived to be a change in her physique.
“Is it me or does Kail look pregnant,” one user tweeted.
“I’m telling ya’ll Kail is pregnant!” wrote another.
“It kinda looks like a pregnant belly,” one Instagram follower commented on a photo of Kail, adding:
“Are you pregnant? Is that what you trying to announce in this picture?”
Needless to say, that sort of talk would turn anyone off from social media.
We don’t think many would blame Kail if she took a little break from Twitter and Instagram, particularly with the way some users commented on her divorce from Javi Marroquin in an overly-familiar fashion.
Several stars of the popular MTV franchise have complained about negative interactions with fans online, and it now seems that Kailyn might be the first to take steps prevent them from happening in the future.
