The Bachelor Season Finale Promo: It"s a Historic "First"!

Nick Viall"s epic journey for love comes to an end on The Bachelor"s live three-hour season finale Monday, and we"ve been promised a "first."

We know. You don"t need The Bachelor spoilers to tell you that a "historic" event is promised every season. Or many times per season.

But in this case, there is at least one major surprise in store that, according to a new sneak peek, will stand out from everything prior.

The ABC dating series" promo below shows Nick Viall dealing with anxiety as he prepares to hand out his final rose and pop the question.

Who will he pick, Vanessa Grimaldi or Raven Gates?!

Viall, as we all know all too well by now, came in second to Josh Murray on Andi Dorfman"s season of The Bachelorette back in 2014.

Then Nick repeated that experience, finishing as the runner-up to Shawn Booth for Kaitlyn Bristowe"s final rose exactly a year later.

"I"ve been here before," Viall said, stating the obvious.

"Both Andi and Kaitlyn broke my heart. My biggest fear is that will happen again. I"m just, like, torn up inside," The Bachelor continues.

"The worst feeling I"ve ever felt before."

"What if she says no?" Nick laments.

As for the big twist and how it impacts The Bachelor winner, franchise creator Mike Fleiss has been hinting on Twitter about the shocker.

"Monday"s live season finale is going to be historic!!! Believe me…" he wrote on Wednesday, March 8, hyping up the season-ender.

"It"s going to be pretty awesome."

That kind of tease implies that just make, something goes awry with Nick"s Bachelor season finale proposal, or perhaps its aftermath.

Viall, 36, is clearly in an emotional state and at a loss for what to do in previous footage we"ve seen from the final episode in Finland.

We"ve already seen a Bachelor star change his mind on After the Final Rose and switch for the runner-up instead, so it can"t be that.

Perhaps Nick not only gets engaged, but married to Raven (or Vanessa) with Chris Harrison officiating an impromptu ceremony on the spot?

Now that would be a ratings boon.
