These unexpected developments both seem to now be in play because Javi Marroquin has taken to social media and…
… said something nice about Kailyn Lowry?!?
It’s true.
Over the weekend, someone on Instagram attempted to taunt Kailyn’s second baby daddy by sharing a photo of herself and a friend at a recent book signing with Lowry.
The photo (below) features a pair of women wearing “Team Javi Puta” shirts while standing alongside Kailyn.
“Look you made it to ex wifey’s book signing @Javimarroquin9,” wrote the trash-talking Internet user.
But Javi did not take the bait. Quite the opposite, actually.
“Their shirts are epic,” he replied in one Tweet, seemingly laughing off the women’s attire.
In a second message, Marroquin added:
“At the end of the day that isn’t cool. That’s my sons mother. We’ve put everything behind us to raise our son the right way.”
This is pretty big news to those who watch Teen Mom 2 online and to anyone who has followed the ups and down (okay, most downs) of Marroquin and Lowry.
The reality stars finalized their divorce in December, with both sides have hurled some serious accusations at the other in the many months since.
Lowry, for example, has seemingly admitted to cheating on Marroquin, while Javi has said some rather awful things about his ex-wife.
“I’m disgusted when I look at her,” Marroqui flat out confessed in an interview last month.
The young father, who shares custody of three-year old son with the 16 and Pregnant alum, went on to explain that he simply can’t view Lowry in nearly the same way as he once did.
“I thought things were really great,” he said several weeks ago, talking about both his marriage, but also the amicable initial split.
So, what changed?
“A very reliable source came up to me and brought some new things to light that I didn’t know about. So all of that went right out the window.”
We can only imagine this is a reference to the aforementioned infidelity on Kailyn’s part.
Also of note, of course, is the fact that Lowry is pregnant with her third child.
She revealed this information to Marroquin at the same time as she revealed it to the rest of the world, via a blog on her official website.
Marroquin has tried to take the high road since learning of the news, but has also taken a few sarcastic swipe at Kailyn, who said during her relationship with Marroquin that she didn’t want any more kids.
Oh, and Marroquin is also writing a book about his time with Lowry.
It will allegedly be titled “Heartlessly Hustled,” which is a not-so-thinly veiled dig at Lowry’s new book, and we’ve been led to believe it will be a hatched job against his troubled ex.
“Fans can expect a story about a man who thought he figured out life,” Javi has said about the memoir.
However, “lies and cheating were swept beneath his nose for a long time!” he added, saying he will chronicle what it’s been like “to raise a smart, energetic little boy alone.”
Ouch! Shot fired!
But will this book now be put on hold, if the feud between Javi and Kailyn really is over?
What the heck will we write about when it comes to these two if so?!?
For the sake of their child, we hope they’re now on good terms.
