Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka’s relationship could not stand the test of time.
Yes, another celebrity couple has called it quits, but should we have seen this one coming a mile off? Probably.
Mariah Carey is one of the most opinionated celebrities out there. Whether she’s throwing shade at other celebrities and just generally thinking she’s better than them, Mariah has solidified herself as a diva.
Could that be the reason why the duo have called time on their relationship? Not according to TMZ.
Apparently, Bryan was super jealous of Mariah’s relationship with her ex-husband, Nick Cannon.
As you are probably well aware, Mariah shares twins Moroccan and Monroe with Nick, so it’s not hard to imagine the couple maintaining a relationship for their kids.
There is such a thing as co-parenting, and the pair appears to be following through on that to ensure their children are not missing out.
They do still take family holidays for their children, but Bryan was not impressed by this, and that was said to be part of the reason the relationship came to a close.
Things went from bad-to-worse for the couple when Mariah and Nick took the twins to the Kids’ Choice Awards in March. Bryan was allegedly left red-faced because of how close the former couple was.
He even went as far as demanding Mariah returned home and left Nick in the lurch.
Jealousy is not a good foundation to build any relationship upon, so it kind of made sense for them to call it quits.
Bryan’s taste for expensive things is also said to be part of the reason for the demise of the relationship.
We all knew Mariah liked expensive things. She’s been a superstar for the better part of thirty years, so it makes sense that she would.
However, Mariah was not a fan of footing the bill for Bryan’s expensive taste, which included brands like Gucci and Balmain.
Maybe his salary as Mariah’s backing dancer is not as lucrative as one would think.
Their relationship became the focal point of E! reality series Mariah’s World. The show was surprisingly decent and showed a nicer side to Mariah.
However, there were a lot of scenes thrown in at the last minute when it emerged that Mariah and James Packer were over.
