Even Jimmy Fallon Has Now Slammed Donald Trump

Donald Trump has officially lost his best friend on television.

Just kidding: Sean Hannity will never abandon his hero in the White House.

But Jimmy Fallon, a late-night talk show host who typically shies away from politics and who infamously toussled Trump"s hair in playful fashion last night, simply could not stay silent any longer.

On Monday evening, two days after the President refused to call out by name the White Supremacists who caused violent upheaval in Charlottesville over the weekend, Fallon addressed the situation in his monologue.

“The Tonight Show isn’t a political show,” said the host.

“[But] it’s my responsibility to stand up to intolerance and extremism as a human being. What happened over the weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia was just disgusting.”

On Saturday, a neo-Nazi drove his car into a group of protestors, killing a 32-year old woman in the process.

The protests had gotten underway in response to these same neo-Nazis marching around the city and chanting hate-filled rhetoric.

In response, President Trump blamed "many sides" for the unrest and did not cite the racist group of bigots by name until he caved to pressure 48 hours later.

"The fact that it took the President two days to come out and clearly denounce racists and white supremacists is shameful,” Fallon said on air, adding:

“I think he finally spoke out because people everywhere stood up and said something… Ignoring it is just as bad as supporting it.”

At one point, it appears as if Fallon was on the verge of tears while speaking.

The comedian then paid tribute to Heather Heyer, the aforementioned victim who lost her life in Charlottesville "standing up for what"s right."

"We all need to stand against what is wrong, acknowledge that racism exists, and stand up for all that is right, and civil, and kind," Fallon continued.

“And to show the next generation that we haven’t forgot how hard people have fought for human rights. We cannot do this. We can’t go back. We can’t go back."
