Yes, as you may have heard, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are back together.
As in dating. Again.
If you’re still stuck in the denial stage, it may be time to drink yourself into anger mode, because this sh-t is really happening.
The hints at reconciliation started last week when Justin and Selena were spotted at church together.
Shortly thereafter, Selena broke up with The Weeknd, and Jelena ‘shippers squealed with delight.
Of course, there were still quite a few roadblocks standing between the reunited couple and what they probably lamely think of as their destiny.
For one thing, Selena’s family reportedly hates Justin, and with very good reason.
After all, the guy ran roughshod over her emotions for years, and members of her inner circle attribute Selena’s breakdown primarily to stress related to Justin.
“Justin is aware Selena’s family is not thrilled they are hanging out. They think he caused Selena a lot of grief,” a Bieber friend tells People.
“Justin hopes he can prove to them that he has changed.”
The source adds:
“He has changed a lot in the past few months. He is a very different person,” adds the pal. “They have a lot to talk about and are having fun catching up.”
Apparently, despite past turbulence, Selena never gave up on the idea of getting back together with Justin:
“Since things ended with Justin for good, any other guys that Selena dated were placeholders,” a source tells Us Weekly.
“All the other guys were just flings. Justin always had her heart and attention. He was always her soulmate and her one true love.”
As for the Biebs, well, it seems that like the ultra-sensitive bro his fans always imagined he was, Justin has been carrying a torch for Selena ever since their latest breakup.
“Justin really wants to get back with Selena,” the insider tells Us.
“He has been texting her nonstop and hangs out with her whenever he can.”
So he was blowing her up while she was still with The Weeknd?
