Duggar pregnancy rumors seem to circulate on social media non-stop.
They’re such a constant that it can be tempting to dismiss them, but the fact of the matter is, the reports frequently turn out to be true.
The latest Duggar to be subjected to widespread baby bump speculation is mother-of-two Jill.
Jill’s husband, Derick Dillard, posted the above photo over Thanksgiving weekend with a caption wishing his followers a happy holiday.
“Jill and I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving! We are truly grateful for all the incredible people in our lives, who have blessed us so much!” Derick wrote.
Many fans reciprocated Derick’s holiday greeting, but some were more interested in Jill’s attire.
“Black is known to slenderize and help hide pregnancies,” commented one follower.
“I spy a baby bump,” remarked another.
Yes, folks are jumping to some pretty big conclusions on the basis of a loose-fitting shirt, but as many of Derick’s followers pointed out, there may be a different reason that Jill is favoring oversized clothing these days.
It’s been just four months since Jill welcomed her second child via C-section.
That means, of course, that it would be very soon for the 26-year-old to have a third on the way.
It also means that she’s likely still recovering from her most recent pregnancy.
“She’s still recovering from her c section. Just cuz there’s a bump doesn’t mean she’s pregnant,” one user poined out.
Of course, some fans weren’t concerned about the debate over Jill’s uterus and preferred to focus on the latest uproar surrounding her controversial husband.
Earlier this month, Derick was fired by TLC as a result of his disparaging comments about transgender teen Jazz Jennings.
“How can he stand there with a smile on his face? I’m so glad he got fired. I wish the rest of the family would pay for what they did,” wrote one fan.
“Everyone except transgender, gay, women who exercise their right to choose right?!” another commented in response to Derick’s caption.
Needless to say, public opinion on the Dillards is decidedly split.
In all likelihood, Jill is not expecting … but now would be an ideal time for a pregnancy announcement to distract from the Duggars’ latest PR crisis.
