Ariana Grande has been absent from social media for a full two and a half months.
The last post from Ariana on Instagram and Twitter was a simple “see you next year” on December 31.
This being 2018, the extended disappearing act has prompted reports that Ariana might be “pulling a Kylie” and withdrawing from the spotlight in order to conceal a pregnancy.
The rumors seem to have started as a joke, but now, some fans believe Ariana is actually expecting – and with good reason.
“Can someone explain why @ArianaGrande has not been on any social media since 2017… is she pulling a @KylieJenner is she pregnant too???” wrote one fan on Ari’s Instagram this week.
“Bit-h where dafuq is Ariana Grande, she better not be pregnant,” opined another.
“@ArianaGrande hasn’t posted on ig for so long, maybe she’s pregnant too- following the Kardashian-Jenner trend,” a third commented.
Ariana has been dating Mac Miller since 2016, and reports that she’s expecting the rapper’s child are everywhere on social media this week.
Like we said, it all started as a running gag, but believe it or not, the evidence that she’s knocked up keeps mounting.
In fact, a source who we can only identify as a member of Ariana’s team spoke with The Hollywood Gossip this week, and she confirmed with 100 percent certainty that the singer is pregnant:
“Ariana Grande is pregnant with Mac Miller’s baby,” the source tells THG exclusively.
“She is 2 months Pregnant and is very excited. She is waiting until at LEAST the 20 week mark to announce it. She was very inspired by Kylie after Facetiming her in October.”
The tipster claims the bombing at Ariana’s concert in Manchester last year caused the singer to re-evaluate her priorities and served as a potent reminder our time on this planet is fleeting.
“She realized after the Manchester event that her life is always at stake and is getting shorter and shorter every day,” the source claims.
“After Christmas when she visited her grandmother, she realized she wants her grandma to see a baby of hers before she passes. “
The insider adds that the pregnancy has seen some complications, but Ariana and Mac are giddy with excitement and already picking out names:
“She is passing around the Name ‘Luna’ for a girl after her love of the moon. She wants the baby’s name to be ‘Frank’ for a boy after her grandfather,” says the informant.
“Mac really wasn’t expecting a baby so when she told him, he was CRYING! He’s wanting a girl for some reason. Ariana canceled the Brit [Awards] because of PREGNANCY ISSUES!
“She was very concerned when she came down with the flu, especially flying with a baby. “
Ariana was spotted in public for the first time this year on March 10.
She was wearing a puffy winter coat, and witnesses say she held a notebook in front of her midsection.
Our source says the singer plans to continue hiding her pregnancy from the public for the foreseeable future, due in part to her own anxiety about giving birth:
“She is wearing a lot of oversized sweaters/black clothes so she can hide the small bump,” says the insider.
“She has had some complications. She is very worried about birth because it will most likely be a C Section because of how small she is.”
Obviously, nothing is official yet, and we can’t say for certain that Ari is expecting.
But we’re gonna go ahead and offer our tentative congrats to Ariana and Mac.
