Matthew Perry Reveals THREE-MONTH Hospital Stay; Is the Actor Alright Now?

About five weeks ago, we quoted a report that claimed Matthew Perry was on death’s door.

It may have seemed like hyperbole to some, but the former Friends star has now come out and confirmed the following:

He was REALLY sick for a long period of time.

On Friday, the 49-year-old actor tweeted a few simple, albeit scary, words:

Three months in a hospital bed. Check.

Whoa there.

Three months in a hospital bed?!? That makes it sound as if the “death’s door” report was not so far off base.

Perry did not specify whether or not he’s finally been checked out of the hospital, but it’s safe to assume so based on that Tweet.

The update comes a little over a month after a rep for the actor confirmed in a statement to that “Matthew Perry recently underwent surgery in a Los Angeles hospital to repair a gastrointestinal perforation.

“He is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals.”

The outcome of this specific surgery depends on how early the ailment was diagnosed, along with how severe the perforation is and whether the patient had another disease or illness at the time.

We can’t really answer any of these questions when it comes to Perry.

Often times, conditions such as appendicitis, stomach ulcers, gallstones and/or Crohn’s disease can cause gastrointestinal perforations, as can a stabbing to the abdomen and abdominal surgery.

Moreover, smoking and excessive alcohol use can increase a person’s need for this procedure.

And it’s a safe guess that this is why Perry has been suffering.

The veteran star has open about his struggles with alcohol abuse and has even opened his own sober-living facility named Perry House.

“I couldn’t stop,” Perry told People Magazine in 2013 of his substance abuse. “Eventually things got so bad that I couldn’t hide it, and then everybody knew.”

A powerful voice in the battle against addiction, Perry also said the following at one point to The Hollywood Reporter”

“You can’t have a drug problem for 30 years and then expect to have it be solved in 28 days.”

This is a reference to the typical length of one’s stay at a treatment facility.

In honor of his road to recovery, Perry was presented with the 2015 Phoenix Rising Award.

“I’m an award-winning alcoholic,” Perry told The Hollywood Reporter. “I shouldn’t be getting an award; Phoenix House should be getting an award.”

Along with his iconic role on Friends, Perry also anchored such programs as The Odd Couple. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Mr. Sunshine.

Corey Feldman: Look! Here is My Stab Wound, Alright?!?

Corey Feldman really hopes the following photo says 1,000 words, most of which can be summed up as follows:

IS THIS PROOF ENOUGH FOR YOU, DOUBTERS?!? I REALLY WAS ATTACKED, OKAY?!?

The former child actor made headlines this week after sharing multiple images of himself in the hospital.

Feldman said in a number of subsequent Twitter messages that he wound up there after he was attacked in his car while stopped at a red light on Tuesday night in Los Angeles.

The actor said more than this, too, hinting strongly that he believes this attack was perpetrated by people who want him silenced before he can out various pedophiles in Hollywood who Corey claims abused him and his late friend Corey Haim.

“I HAVE HAD MOUNTING THREATS ON ALL SM PLATFORMS BY THIS VILE ‘WOLFPACK’ & I’M SURE THIS IS A RESULT OF THOSE NEGATIVE ACTIONS!” he wrote of what he classified as a “stabbing,” prior to adding:

“I HAVE REASON 2 BELIEVE ITS ALL CONNECTED! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! HOW SICK R THESE PPL?”

(Editor’s Note: Feldman has argued for years that a group he calls “The Wolfpack” has been after him ever since he went public with the aforementioned pedophile accusations.)

The weird thing was this:

A Los Angeles Police Officer filed an official report that says Feldman was NOT stabbed.

“There were no lacerations to Feldman’s abdomen or any other area of his body. There was no stabbing,” said officer Drake Madison in a statement.

A rep for the actor followed up, however, and clarified that his client never claimed to have been stabbed by a knife.

It may very well have been a syringe and, as a result, Feldman is undergoing tests to see if he was infected with HIV or any other virus.

This really is a potentially serious situation, and it’s worth noting that the police have confirmed that some kind of attack did take place.

And now Feldman has returned to social media in order to depict the literal result of this attack.

“THE WORLDS SMALLEST KNIFE WOUND…..OR?!?!” wrote Feldman as a caption to the following picture.

“YES I WAS ATTACKED 2 DAYS AGO, YES THEY USED SOME SORT OF SHARP WEAPON, AND YES IT WENT INTO MY BODY! THIS IS WHAT THE SCAR LOOKS LIKE NOW, OBVIOUSLY IF IT WAS A KNIFE I GOT VERY LUCKY & IM BLESSED!

“IF IT WAS A SYRINGE, I WILL PRAY 4 THE BEST RESULTS! GOD BLESS.”

He also added the hashtags:

“!#Kids2 #COREYSTRUTHISCOMING #PRESERVEINNOCENCE.”

An attorney for Feldman named Perry Wander tells People Magazine that the attack may have been motivated by road rage.

It may have had nothing at all to do with Feldman’s past claims of sexual abuse.

But Corey told TMZ the day after he was hospitalized that there are plenty of people out there who want him to shut the heck up, possibly forever.

“I do know for a fact that that conspiracy has to do with every false accusation that you’ve heard about me in the media within the last six months,” he told TMZ.

“And I do know who the organizer of that conspiracy is and I do know who it’s being lead by – and I do know why. It all has to do with the pedophilia claims that I’ve made.”

Feldman has said for a very long time now that Haim, who died in 2010, was raped by someone in Hollywood many years ago.

He has also said that he was a victim of sexual abuse and that he will one day come out and name the person, or people, behind these crimes.

Hence, according to Feldman, why someone might want to attack him and/or even kill him.

LAPD spokeswoman Officer Rosario Herrera said on Tuesday there is “no suspect at this time and the investigation is ongoing.”

Jennifer Lawrence on Donald Trump Being Elected: We"ll Be Alright!

The world is still in shock at Donald Trump being elected President of the United States. 

It’s been just three days since Trump emerged victorious to Hillary Clinton in the election and the stars are still throwing in their two cents about the whole thing. 

In case you didn’t know, 26-year-old Lawrence was very much Team Hillary, so as you can probably expect, she is not impressed with the result. 

So much so that she took to writing about her thoughts on the matter in a surprisingly long essay. 

“Is this the stark reality? It doesn’t matter how hard you work or how qualified you are, at the end of the day, you’re not a man? Is that what we just learned?” the Hunger Games actress asked.

“This country was founded on immigration and today the only people that feel safe, that their rights are recognized and respected are white men. I want to be positive; I want to support our democracy, but what can we take away from this? It’s a genuine question that we all need to ask ourselves. We shouldn’t blame anyone, we shouldn’t riot in the streets.”

Lawrence was very clear about what the next course of action should be for the people disappointed by the result.

“We should think strongly and clearly about what to do next because we cannot change the past.”

“If you’re a woman and you’re worried that no matter how hard you work or how much you learn, there will always be a glass ceiling, then I don’t really know what to say,” she said.

Additionally, the actress made it very clear that people should not accept defeat.

Jennifer Lawrence is well-known for keeping it real. She’s never been one to shy away from speaking her mind and that’s part of why we think she’s amazing!

The election result has definitely divided a lot of people. Most thought he wouldn’t actually be elected, but he was. 

In the wake of the election, some have been calling for Scandal character, Olivia Pope, to help fix things, but Kerry Washington was quick to point out that the character was fictional and could not help.
