Gordon Ramsay"s Wife Suffers Miscarriage, Celebrity Chef Thanks Fans for Support

Tragedy has struck the family of Gordon Ramsay.

The Hell’s Kitchen host confirmed on Facebook today that his wife, Tana, recently suffered a miscarriage.

Sadly, she was five months along into her pregnancy when it happened.

“Tana and I want to thank you so much for your support over the past couple of weeks,” the celebrity captioned a photo with his wife.

We’ve featured the photo below.

“We had a devastating weekend as Tana has sadly miscarried our son at five months,” he continued. “We’re together healing as a family, but we want to thank everyone again for all your amazing support and well wishes. “

“I’d especially like to send a big thank you to the amazing team at Portland Hospital for everything they’ve done.”

The Ramsays, who got married in 1996, announced that they were expecting their fifth child in April, 14 years after the birth of their youngest child.

Ramsay made the announcement while a guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

“I’m really nervous,” he said at the time. “Obviously, I’m happy with another girl. Four girls. Four weddings. Four Sweet 16s. Four boyfriends.”

The couple is the parents of Megan, 18, twins Jack and Holly, 16, and Matilda, 14.

We send our condolences to the family during this difficult time.

Paul Qui, Former Top Chef Winner, Arrested for Domestic Assault

Paul Qui is accused of cooking up something very evil at his home in Texas.

The winner of Top Chef Season 9 in 2011, Qui was arrested in Austin on Saturday on charges that he assaulted his girlfriend, Stephanie Rodriguez.

According to the police report, officers arrived at Qui’s apartment after one of his friends called 911 to report a domestic dispute situation,

The cops on the scene reportedly found Qui with “blood all over his face, arms, legs and clothing,” while Rodriguez was crying and holding her young son.

Rodriguez told police that she and her child were asleep when Qui came home in the middle of the night with a group of acquaintances.

The men proceeded to wake up Rodriguez and talk her into joining them for a few drinks.

However, Qui allegedly grew angry and accused those in attendance of flirting with his girlfriend.

After giving his pals the boot from the premises, the former reality star supposedly started knocking over furniture before he reportedly picked Rodriguez up and hurled her against walls and doors because she tried to leave the apartment with her son.

Rodriguez alleges that Qui was drunk at the time and also high on multiple types of drugs.

The ex-Top Chef contestant, who is now free on $ 20,000 bail, was arrested and booked for unlawful restraint, as well as assault causing bodily injury to a family member, both of which are misdemeanors.

If these allegations prove true, he has definitely earned a spot in the list below:

Paul Prudhomme Dies; Celebrity Chef Was 75

Paul Prudhomme – the famed chef best known for his various PBS cooking shows and national landmark New Orleans restaurant –  has passed away at the age of 75.

Paul Prudhomme

Prudhomme is widely credited with popularizing New Orleans-style cuisine nationwide, and some even say he’s the man most responsible for the foodie trend that’s given us everything from more exotic menu options to celebrity chefs such as Anthony Bourdain and Alton Brown.

“Paul was the one who not only put Louisiana food…Cajun and Creole food, on the map, but he was also the one who started the American food revolution that flourishes today,” Louisiana chef and radio show host Poppie Tooker said today.

When Prudhomme was named executive chef of the legendary New Orleans restaurant Commander’s Palace in 1975, restaurants nationwide took it as a sign that upscale establishments no longer needed a French chef at the helm in order to be taken seriously.

Prudhomme went on to introduce dishes like the turducken and blackened redfish to amateur American chefs. The latter became so popular that limits had to be imposed in order to keep the redfish from going extinct.

His tremendous influence is currently evident on Twitter, where professional and amateur chefs, restauranteurs and fans of good food the world over are paying tribute to the man brought the flavors of New Orleans to kitchens across the globe.
